The atmosphere was excellent and our service was very good the food was very good and came at a good value... The crab cakes were a little "wet" and could have been better... The Blue Cheese sauce Filet was excellent...

“Boring”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

Nothing to do here and had to pay to park. Quite empty. Probably good for a rainy day with kids. Not much open.

“Real Pirates”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

We felt it was misrepresented and over priced. They are advertising all over the radio as if this is an interactive exhibit with pirate actors all around. It is actually a display of artifacts discovered from a shipwreck. The artifacts are neat to see but there is a lot of reading, especially for kids. We got an audio wand because we had a group and thought that would make for a more social experience. No. Contrary to what the lady at the box office said, the wand only plays loud enough for one person to hear and the information it shares is mostly not even facts but just a pretend story about the artifacts.
Bottom line: If it had been advertised for what it really is and the tickets were about $12-15, then it would be worth it. Union Station is really impressive though.

“Make sure to see the observation bridge and model train exhibit”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

We stopped in to Union Station while in KC for the Chiefs game. On a whim, we stopped by the information desk and it was the best decision we made. The lady at the desk directed us to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Shop (shouldn't be missed!), the model train exhibit, and even the observation bridge in the back which allowed us to see and hear the trains passing through the station. This is a great place to just sit for awhile and enjoy a snack and people watch. There are several high end restaurants (Harvey's and Pierpont's) in the station if you want a really nice meal. THis is a great free thing to do while in KC. Last but not least, do not miss the history of the building and old photos in the skybridge that leads to Crown Center.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

I was here 10 years ago and it seemed that there was a lot more to do and see. We did shop at the train shop and found a lot of Thomas the Train items reasonably priced. $2 for a bottled water did seem a bit high.
