“Real Pirates”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

Went to see the Real Pirates at Union Station. I felt that $38 for two people was a big high priced but it was a nice exhibit.
Union Station is quite amazing inside, well worth checking out.

“Beautiful Building”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

First, let me say that we are train lovers, so this naturally attracted us. The building is magnificent and the ceiling was something to behold. We especially enjoyed the operating layouts on display at the back of the building, but what was really special was the Pirate exhibit on display in he basement. It was impressive as well as educational. Well worth the price. This should be any tourist's must-see list.

“Historical Rail Station”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

A very grand and beautiful rail station from the past. While you can still catch a train here, it largely a museum and full of shops and restaurants. Its also attached to the a science exploration center. If you are staying at a nearby hotel like the Westin or Sheraton (which connect via glass walkways) you will love exploring this mostly free attraction.

There are actual trains to see, train simulators, and history all around you! Love this place!

“Nostalgic Train Staiton”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

There is a nice model train setup and activities for children which we enjoyed on a previous visit. However this time we went late on Sunday and these activities were closed. The place itself is worth the visit, beautiful, huge, and has cafe's, shops and a movie theatre.. lots of history. A must see if in KC.

“A must see”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

This is such a gorgeous place and the historical significance during WWI and WWII makes you feel the presence of soldiers coming in and out on trains. The view to the front of the Liberty Memorial to view the fresco and lawns is just stunning. KC is a well kept secret, full of architecturally interesting and culturally interesting sights as well as family friendly. The Union Station has had some great exhibits that we have visited alone and as a family-- Princess Diana, the Body, Pirates, etc, etc. and the ongoing science museum there. This is a must see-- the architecture is amazing. Be sure and check out the Liberty memorial across the street as well. Also look for the bullet hole in the front of Union Station from the gangster days!
