“Little symphony on the prairie...”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

Maybe you think you can only find great orchestral performances on the coasts? Not true! The KCS has moved into its new home in the Kauffman Performing Arts Center and the level of performances has taken off. (Maybe the musicians can actually hear each other now?) At any rate if you are in the vicinity when one of their concerts is happening, don't miss the opportunity to hear them - no matter what's on the program. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

“Must see while in KC”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

You have to see the symphony while in KC if that is your thing. Always a fun show with something new. It is also a very affordable evening unlike some cities.

“Music for ALL to Enjoy!”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

Nothing beats the symphony and KC has a fine collection of gifted musicians. The variety of music varies with each perfromance but the attention to detail never wavers. All should experience the KC Symphony at least once in their lifetime to relax and enjoy themselves thoroughly!

“Always Enjoyable”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

This symphony provides the city with the foundation of the classical arts. Their performances always astound me, moving me to an emotional response every time. And coupled with the new Kaufman Performing Arts Center, Kansas City now rivals any city in the county for orchestral excellence.

“Memorial Day Concert”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

The Symphony does an annual Memorial Day Concert outdoors on the Union Station property. Audience extends all the way up the lawn of the World War I Memorial across the street. Great sounds and the patriotism abounds!
