“A beautiful two acre piece of serenity and beauty in the heart of KC”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

We are big fans of botanic gardens in general, and love Powell Gardens southwest of the city, but the Kauffman Garden was a new find this trip. Located just southwest of the Nelson-Atkins Museum, this free small garden is beautiful, with plantings that resemble an ambitious Midwestern backyard garden. Nothing exotic, just nicely designed flowering gardens.

“lovely small garden”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

It is a small garden, more of contemplation. It can be viewed in 30 minutes if needed, or an hour or more if you wish to rest and enjoy. Location is excellent as in close walking distance to the Nelson Gallery and even the Country Club Plaza.

A small memorial garden, situated across from the Kauffman Foundation near the Nelson- Atkins Museum of Art and the Country Club Plaza. Nice bronze sculpture water features, and interesting plantings.
