We went out of our way to re-visit Sushi Haru on this trip to KC. Yes, it was that good the first time. They definitely matched our first experience. Absolutely perfection on food and service. Even tho the place was busy, we wanted for nothing.

They have such an extensive menu, we tried different food than our previous visit. I can honestly say, I haven't had even mediocre fare at Sushi Haru yet. Very, very good. I intend to make this place a stop on my next KC visit as well.

Sushi Haru is one of those little tucked-away restaurants that only the locals know about and don't be surprised when it's always busy - the food is that good.

It's not a very big restaurant, but the staff is very helpful and friendly and the food excellent. We've been there a number of times and will certainly keep going back.

We have been eating at Haru Sushi for 4 years and it has been good and fairly consistent. Over the past year, they have taken on new ownership and the menu has gotten better and the execution fantastic. The sushi menu is elaborate and whether you order the old standby or namesakes like the Shagy Dog Roll, the Mount Fuji or the Firecracker, you won't be disappointed.

The best deal here is on their lunch menu. It's a Sushi Bento Box for $10.95 with more food than you can eat. Sushi, Gyozo, seaweed salad, tossed salad with ginger dressing, and a generous portion of tempura. We also enjoy the spicy tuna handroll with tempura crunchies. Can't be beat.

Haru is owned by a Korean group and they feature some tasty Korean dishes. Kimchee, for those who have acquired the taste, is also on the menu. They also have Shabushabu and Sukiyaki along with lots of other Japanese hot items like Dynamite, Katsudon and Yakitori.

The restaurant is bright and fresh with a long sushi bar and plenty of tables. They also have sunken tables in private rooms that can accommodat 8-12 people (shoes off please).

Haru Sushi is hidden in a strip mall just north of Lowes and next to Church's Fried Chicken. If you want consistently yummy sushi, try Haru Sushi and you won't be disappointed.
