I agree that it needs remodeled. It is true about the patch work in the tubs and the odor was awful. I had a lot of trouble communicating with the staff...their English was hard to understand, but the worst part was, I killed a cockroach in the room. Stay some place else.

We booked the hotel because we received a great deal on priceline.com but soon regretted bidding on a room at this hotel. Upon arrival we requested 4 extra pillows to lessen my acid reflux, which was acting up at the time. I even inckuded it unfer the special instructions to the hotel when booking. The front desk clerk looked at us and said "There are a lot of pillows on your bed already. Go to your room and check if you need more first." We were immediately put off by that comment. We obviously knew more pillows would be required or we wouldn't have asked.
We got to our room (211) and didn't bother unpacking. The room smelled as if it hadn't been aired out in years, the 4 pillows on the bed weren't enough, and to top it off the phone didn't work to inform the staff of any of this. We grabbed our stuff and went back downstairs to the front desk clerk. We told them (he had a trainee working along side him) of all the faults and received a new, clean and even air freshened room on the first floor right by the front desk (room 115). Extra pillows were also delivered to the room. We stayed for 3 nights on business and couldn't have left earlier in my opinion.
The breakfast wasn't anything different. Stale bread, bland waffles, no bagels or creme cheese or milk.
The icing on the cake were the pets I heard crawling around at night. When I turned on the lights in our room, I was greated by cockroaches trying to flee the light. I quickly grabbed my phone to take pictures of this disgusting roommate.
All in all, we won't be booking at this hotel when we return at the end of the month. Along the same street are a plethora of hotel choices, including a Hilton , Candlewood Suites, and Best Western. All look newer and well maintained. Unfortunately, this ruined Days Inns for us nationwide.

I do have to.point out that the trainee was the only person who cared and addressed our needs properly. He smiled, didn't talk to us like we were idiots, and maintained this genuine friendly attitude throughout our stay...with all guests.

Thank you for the review. As we continue to reeducate our staff members,
we will work hard to deliver positive results. Please excuse any miscommunication
about receiving extra pillows. As always, guests may request additional pillows
during their stay.

We are pleased to offer a wholesome and nutritious breakfast. Guests will find a variety
of breakfast items to suit ones palate.

As for your initial room assignment, current quality based inspections indicate
that our rooms are up to date. Our housekeeping team works hard to provide
exceptional service to all guests. Guests will continue to enjoy refreshing and clean rooms.

And while some environmental factors may challenging, our team is prepared to deliver positive results. Current environmental quality inspections indicate no bug problem.

Thank you for staying with us!

Of course, trying to save a little money I chose this hotel based on pretty good reviews and the price. My advice, pay a little more like I ended up doing and you get a lot nicer place! The pictures do NOT look like the hotel. The breakfast area sits maybe 15 maximum and very old looking. Looking around behind the desk, very unorganized and not very clean looking. Upon entering the room a musty odor came out immediately. Everything was very outdated so if there are REMODELED rooms, we did not get one of them. What did it for us was entering the bathroom and looking in the tub! It looked as though the tub had eroded and been patched but done very poorly and the rust and black stuff was coming through. I immediately called and asked for a refund. Went a little farther, paid a little more and felt much more comfortable. This would be my advice!! Oh and the so called security doors at the ends of the building are wide open:)
