The smell of cigars wafts by as you enter this small venue filled with locals. The bartenders are cute, female and friendly and the bar itself has an ample supply of single men. They sell cigars, which are smoked on the back outdoor patio, and they also have front sidewalk seating outside, the bar and small restaurant tables.

The drinks are weak, but the prices are reasonable so have another. After you've enjoyed the music take a walk a block over to the historic Savoy hotel and check out the stained glass and extraordinary dining room and lobby where Benny Goodman recorded Stompin' at the Savon. Now you're part of KC history!

We went for the music and it was well worth it. The jazz and blues were excellent. The area the band plays in is very small and the music can be a little loud, but overall we really liked it. Be sure to get free admission coupons at hotel racks - as it saved us $5 each in cover charges. You will need a coupon for each person so make sure you grab enough. Parking was on the street but plentiful. The service was good however our waitress had a tendency to touch everyone in the party and it freaked some of my friends out. She was very nice but every time she came to the table she had her hands all over the people in our party. Mostly touching backs and shoulders. I think she was just trying to make people feel welcomed but it was over the top.

Walked from Marriott to this jazz restaurant for dinner. Ate before the band played. Food for very good and very affordable. I had the philly cheesesteak and sweet potato fries. With water and tip for under 15. Waitress was nice and atmosphere was pleasant. Wood recommend to those in downtown hotels who want a good meal. Enjoy the jazz if you want and stay for the show.

Visited on a Saturday night from 4:30 till around 8. Had a great Jazz band playing which did mean a $5 cover charge per person. The place was busy but had seating available inside and out. The music was loud so we sat in the back where we could still talk. They had a good happy hour with domestic drafts including the local Blvd Brewing for $3 and a few appetizers for half price. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. It is in walking distance from hotels in the Power and Light district which was also nice. Didn't try any of the entrees but all the appetizers we had were good. It was a great place to relax after a long day of touring the city.

We went on a Saturday around 5 PM and listened to a great band while sipping a great local wheat beer and ordering appetizers throughout the evening. The beer was ice cold, the food was great and the band was cookin the whole time. Great wait staff and a great place to unwind after a full day of touring KC! Sit back, relax and enjoy the music, beer and food. It was happy hour so draft beers were only 3 bucks and some of the appetizers where 1/2 price.
