Being from the south, I was thrilled to try this restaurant. We called to make sure it was kid friendly and were told "absolutely" on the phone; so we didn't get a sitter.
When we arrived they didn't have a single high chair or booster. It was no big deal to us that they didn't have a kids menu. But to give a toddler a big full glass of water with ice? A bit clueless.
However, it was the food... and drink.. that had us saying we won't return.
I don't believe these cooks have ever even been to the south? The sweet tea was more like a cherry beverage... good, but nothing that resembled sweet tea.
The Shrimp and Grits were perhaps a bit above average. Not like the kind you'd get in the south but pretty good. The Salmon dish was extremely fishy and the potatoes had little flavor. The Mac and Cheese appetizer was good.
A cute location in a trendy area... but not worth the price... and not true "southern" in our opinion.
