Although I'm from Missouri, whenever I'm visiting the Country Club Plaza I see people visiting from all over the world. It was the world's first "Shopping Center" and the one modern day shopping centers try to emulate. Beautiful Spanish architecture with fountains, statues, and lots of great photo ops. At night there are horse drawn carriages and it's famous for the gorgeous lights at the holidays. Wonderful restaurants, and shopping of all price points. And bonus, parking is free! It's a wonderful weekend trip destination or side trip when you are enjoying all that Kansas City has to offer.
