“Fun and interesting!”
Reviewed January 19, 2014 via mobile

I'm not a beer drinker but I decided to surprise my beer drinking and brewing husband with a tour yesterday. Got there at 9:30 and we were first in line. Lots and lots of people behind us, but I think they still had tickets left for some afternoon tours after the last of the line got served. 50 people to a tour. The tour guides were awesome and it was just enough information for me. Fun tshirts and stuff in the gift shop, waiting area/gift shop could be a tad bigger to accommodate 50+ people. Overall, good tour!

“Get there early!”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

Knowing that free tour tickets were only available the day of, and that the ticket booth opened at 10am, we arrived on a Friday at about 10:04am to find a line halfway down the block. We didn't mind the wait, but were a little surprised at the line. We got inside the doors, with about 10 people ahead of us when they announced they were completely out of tickets for the day. Luckily, we were in KC another day, and came back on Saturday at 9:15am. Even that early, we weren't the first in line, but after everyone got tickets, there were some left over, unclaimed. Once on the tour we decided the weekday times may be more popular because that is when the bottling line is in production (no bottling was going on for our tour, we just got to see the machinery, but no action).

Boulevard is just about our favorite beer, so we thoroughly enjoyed the tour, and the tasting of course. We were greeted at the beginning of our tour with a tasting of the KC Pilsner, and then given 3 bottle caps that could be traded in for free beer at the end of the tour. The brief tour consisted of 2 guides leading you from place to place, and at each stop you watched a video (it really isn't as bad as that sounds). The best part was being able to taste "test" beers that are not even available yet. Absolutely loved this, and would return on a week day to watch the bottling in process!

“Fun weekday outing”
Reviewed October 31, 2013

We were able to get tickets for a midday tour in the middle of the week. The tour guides are knowledgeable and show you the ins and outs that they can. The beers are great at the end of the tour. It gives you a chance to chat with your tour group while enjoying beautiful views of the kc skyline.

“Free Tours, Free Beers, how great is that!!”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

Starting at 10am you can stop by and reserve a free tour. The tour starts off with a sample beer and 3 beer caps to use to purchase more after the short tour. It's a beautiful building with areas to rent for private functions and the tour is an interesting summary of the operations and history. After the tour you can enjoy 3 of their many beers on tap (small sampler glasses). Well worth the trip.

If you have time to kill between getting your tickets and the tour, take a walk up and check out the Rosterie, it's the coffee shop with the plane on the top of the building.

“Grooms Dinner”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

We went to a grooms dinner there and it was a fun expeirence. We got the tour and the beer. It was a fun night. Our tour guide had been there a while and was knew a lot. She was fun. The only downside was that the gift shop was not open. Being from out of town, I would have liked a little memento from here.
