We have just had a 2 night midweek stay at Bells and loved every minute. This is our 4th stay at Bells and it has always been great. The accommodation is just beautiful. Lovely decor in a casual but elegant way. Great colour scheme in rooms. Huge bathroom and equipped kitchen also a fire for cooler days. We had continental breakfast at the resort which was good. We had dinner on Tuesday night with the locals special menu which was 2 courses and a glass of wine for $39.
The resort is so relaxing with plenty of local areas to explore. We will definately go back for visit number 5 later in the year.

Stayed a night as a birthday celebration. The king sized room had almost everything you could need ( would have been nice to have a safe in the room though ) was clean, well presented, had a lovely balcony area and an excellent King sized bed. Great coffee for the plunger. The restaurant is excellent - the wine list amazing - food delicious and service with a smile. We enjoyed wandering around the extensive beautiful gardens. All topped off by pleasant and helpful receptions staff.

We stayed 2 nights in a King Spa suite. The suite consists of a kitchenette, dining table, lounge area and a large king bed, all in a very private studio style room. The double spa and the provided Bouddi toiletry products were lovely. The day bed on the deck was great for lounging around with a cup of coffee and reading the paper.

Bells has really thought of everything that their guest would need / want. From mozzie coils, a back pack to use while staying there, umbrella, bath salts, bath robes, slipper, Aeroguard, plunger coffee, beach towels, even pre-chilled water in the fridge.

The included continental breakfast was amazing - freshly baked goods and ingredients of the highest quality. We had the pleasure of trying out the 5 course degustation dinner with matched wines and it is truly a gastronomical experience. The food was perfectly balanced by the fine wines. Fresh slices of truffle on top of gnocchi was a favourite of mine.

Make sure you remember to go for a walk around the Bells grounds and explore the various beach side towns around the area, what a beautiful area!

Thank you Bells for a wonderful stay, it was well worth the trip down from Brisbane!

We stayed here for our honeymoon a couple of weeks ago. We have been to Bells at Killcare before and decided to come back as it is a beautiful property and wanted to relax. We booked the Villa thinking it would be the most private and peaceful. On arrival, there were kids on the property next door riding their noisy dirt bikes. We called Reception to ask if we could room move. They were very helpful and dealt with this problem with professionalism and enthusiasm. They apologised profusely even though it was not the fault of the property. We ended up moving to the 2 storey cottages which were lovely but not as nice as the Villas. After we moved, and unpacked, we realised that the upstairs bedroom did not have air conditioning. This was a problem as the 3 days were about 30 degrees so it felt like a sauna. We found it difficult to sleep due to the heat. This is a feature that we expected considering the high rate we paid.
We had dinner at the restaurant which was faultless. The Degustation menu and matching wine is recommended. We also had breakfast each morning which was lovely- the only downfall was the 2nd morning, whereby the service was slow. No one attended to us the the entrance for what seemed like more then a couple of minutes. The hot food was also very slow whereas the other 2 mornings was very fast. I also asked for vegemite for my toast but it never arrived. But overall, the it was lovely as we sat on the balcony and admired the beautiful gardens while we lingered over our coffee.
We also went for a swim in the pool- fantastic-the biggest outdoor salted pool! Spa treatment was also amazing.
Overall, the staff were excellent and professional. Its a beautiful property and we had a chance to unwind and enjoy our first days as a married couple. It was just a few minor things that disapointed us but we would still come back.
We did express these concerns by email directly to the property almost 2 weeks ago but did not receive a response.

Room Tip: The suite should suffice- not much difference between the cottages and suites.

Thank you so much for your feedback, since you stayed we have installed air conditioners to the upstairs cottages and we have rectified the problem with any noise from the neighbouring property. I am so sorry that we did not respond to your letter, we read it as such positive feedback and a thank you for the French Champagne that we sent, not as a complaint. Please let me know personally when you next return to Bells and I will personally make sure that we look after you.

We stayed here last weekend for out first wedding anniversary! Everything was wonderful from the food to the grounds to the accomodation . We enjoyed walking around the grounds and exploring the quiet seaside town of killcare. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was amazing! I loved the Bircher muesli and could have sat outside in the restaurant all day admiring the exquisite grounds! The bed was a little hard for my liking however the abundance of pillows made up for this. I loved the products offered by the I'm house beauty salon ( shampoo conditioner and shower gel) and we purchased these from reception as to remember this wonderful stay! Would recommend to couple for some peace and quiet!

Room Tip: Take your swimmers the pool looks amazing

RELAX UNWIND ENJOY – three simple words that take on new meaning when you accept the invitation to explore Bells at Killcare. So often properties entice you with corporate slogans that fail to deliver. No problem here. From the moment you drive in, and see the wild bush turkeys having a scratch, you have been lifted into a carefree dimension. The staff are welcoming and helpful and this level of superior service was maintained throughout our stay.

Our King Spa Unit was cool and spacious. Attention to detail was evident in every aspect. The big comfortable lounge chairs, the private verandah and of course the 2 person spa. And so private.

After taking our breakfast at Manfredi’s we decided to take a walk around the extensive grounds. We were just in time to see a sea eagle swoop in over the large dam much to the alarm of the local bird population. So armed with camera and sketchbook we spent several hours taking in the vegetable gardens, fresh for the restaurant, the chooks, 200 eggs a week for the restaurant, the fruit trees and all the secret nooks and arbours of the formal gardens. We were discussing how wonderful it would be for a wedding when as if on cue we saw that everything had been set up for just that event. In the afternoon we sat on our private verandah with a bottle of Jansz, some good Aussie cheese, dried fruit and not a care in the world .. except deciding what we would order for dinner. We dined both nights at Manfredi at Bells. But that is another wonderful story.

Room Tip: Just pick one!!

My husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at Bells. It was fabulous from check in to check out. I had read earlier reviews which were negative about the service. Our experience was the exact opposite. The manager brought us a celebratory glass of veuve and was keen to offer advice on wines and local area experiences. We had the degustation menu on both occasions and while we loved it id check out a la carte and do a comparison next time. And there will be a next time. Breakfast on the deck was gorgeous. While you are there do the 10 km mainland bay and putty beach walk for amazing coastal board walk. Take your swimmers as you will want to swim along the way. Killcare beach is gorgeous and lunch at the point above the surf club is great.

Room Tip: Lakeview room is recommended
