Actually the only thing worthy to mention is those working holiday Asian staff, especially the lady called Mimi is so lovely and actually let me disregard the aweful experience we had.
Bed is ok, clean and acceptable, but the deco and the color is so aweful, even my grandmother has much better taste .
Overall the manor has no manor at all, cherry and apricot picking is the only highlight, the friendly Asian chef and staff are the most valuable point in this ugly dirty old manor , the owner should really read the review and think about how to improve.
Don't come , it's not even worthy for $50 a night

Upon entering the gate of 'Hatchers Manor' the cobblestone drive, upset our stomachs...When I was trying to park the car, oriental people were trying to walk behind the reversing car, absolutely oblivious to what was going on.,,Many little dogs sleeping in the entrance to the Restaraunt.Upon entry to the[very dimly lit] dining room,I was advised we were the 1st to arrive, and loud music was playing, making it hard for me to hear a thing!!..I ordered 2 drinks, but the lady took off at the end of the 1st drink ordered, then came back for the 2nd, but said , ''they had no brandy''- brandy found..later, and ginger ale was out in the kitchen..,.Hmmmmm!..Then it really went downhill...Everyone recieved 'gluggy' chicken and corn soup as entree...and a roll....Main course, -Table by table- we were 23.. 1hour 20 mins later, I complained and was advisedthat they were not sure what I was carrying on about..The 60 or so people were lined up like cows, waiting .... We finally insisted that we had to eat, and some foods had run out,.,I waited on the couch at the end of the servery, until a new batch of gravey came out,.,.Dessert, was like pigslop.. finding the mens toilet was an ordeal... the sealer was when the owner cradled a pup in the dining room, and took it back into the kitchen..Later a small white dog came into the dining area, and we were advised it didnt bite. These 'crazy' people, seem to live in the realm of the property[ in their own world]..It was $80 per person, and my 4yo grand daughter cost $54 to eat a roll and some cut up veggies and meat...The best part about this place was leaving, and I will be in touch with our pathetic health dept as soon as they come back off holidays from christmas_ Anthony Weeding- A reasonable person, with a reasonable outlook on life-This was disgusting

Room Tip: Go somewhere else, there are plenty of great places here in Tazzie[Claremont Flower Show], Jan12-13...

I recently stayed in Richmond again at Hatcher's Manor. Once again they looked after me as if I were family. The room was clean and comfortable. The food and personal service was great and the staff was warm and friendly. I find it to be a great location for accessing the attractions
in the local region. Located in a rural setting makes Hatcher's a peaceful and quiet accommodation to relax and unwind. I highly recommend it and I'll be back again. Dan Fellow

Room Tip: No fitness centre or pool but nice short walk to the historic township.

First of all the lady that finally gets to the front desk to check in is so crazy and rude. The first thing that happened when we got there was told that the room we booked we couldn't have. Later on in the night it was a little cold so we had to look around the venue untill we could find someone to help us with the brocken down heater. After finding someone to help 20 mins later they turned up at the room to get it going, didn't knock on the door and wait, just opened the door and walked straight in. Eventually we got our heater working. Woke up really early in the morning to hear people walking up and down the passageway outside our door which was tiled and echoed straight into our room with the 2" gap between the bottom of the door and the tiles. Then to hear the owners complaining about how he had to come and light our fire for us!

Then when it comes to the food, if you can call it that. Had to sit outside on a table that was filthy and covered in spiderwebs, while the owners sat inside with their workers and talked about issues like hitler and jews and anything else awkward you can think about.

The people who run this place have no idea whatsoever on how to run a business or more important how to treat their clients. My holiday in Tassie was so good until my fiance and i arrived here in Richmond. After the first night we stayed there we were looking at just leaving and looking for somewhere else to stay. Please do not stay here ever!!! I normally don't even get on these websites but after my experience there i would not want anyone else to have to go through what we did.

Room Tip: There are no good rooms here, save your time and money and stay somewhere else...

We stayed here with our two kids in November and had a lovely time. After reading past reviews i have to say i was a bit concerned. . After looking at the photos on the website i was worried the rooms would be old and musty but dont let the decor fool you, the rooms a new, clean and fresh. The first room we were in had pink walls which i though was a bit gawdy but my daughter was extremely pleased. Had to laugh at some of the other reviews who liken the place to faulty towers cos it is a bit like that but that's what we loved about it. All the staff were relaxed and super friendly. Id liken it to staying at your mates place, no, your not waited on hand and foot and sometimes you have to wait for things but everything's there if you want it. Id highly recommend staying here if you have children as the manor rules are 'there are no rules' my kids loved been able to run free and go where they wanted with out been told off. Kids also loved feeding the animals and playing with the dogs.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They offered us an upgrade over the phone at no extra cost. We dined in the restaurant on the first night and the food was pretty good with reasonable portions - just remember to check your invoice breakdown as they made an honest error on our bill for dinner. The staff get up early to feed the animals so if you don't like to be woken before 9am, let the staff know and they can move you away from the feeding area. Wonderful views from the windows! We enjoyed wandering through the farm and meeting the animals. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Any room away from the main feeding area - just ask the staff.
