What a lovely church. It is beautiful and looking great for the oldest Catholic Church in Australia.

The church wasn't opened but it would have been good to have something about the history of the graveyard's occupants. It would have been interesting to learn some of their history and journey and I'm sure there are historians in the area or are part of the church that could help.

The church looks spooky but it's really good to walk around the church grounds and old graveyard up on the hill. The school has some very old buildings too. Probably best to visit when school's out. Park at the Richmond Bridge carpark.

The day we visited we were unable to go into the church as the kids from the school across the road were in their doing a lesson and we didn't want to interupt so we decided to take a walk around the grounds.

There were lots of sites with 4-5 people buried in them all from the same family. Quite a few younger people had dies during the 1800's and their parents had surpassed them.

It is very picturesque, with a river at the bottom of the hill and having all of the sites facing east. Even the more modern headstones dont look out of place with the church itself perched ontop of the hill.
