Great for photo buffs. Best to take a photo in spring or Autumn - took some great shots in the golden hour. The bridge is amazing built out of convict slave labour. This is a must do town to see

Richmond is a very picturesque historic town with Australia's oldest bridge, and an interesting collection of 19th century buildings, shops selling crafts, and local produce. We stopped for petrol here and there was driveway service! (We went on to discover this wasn't unusual for Tasmania - but we haven't had driveway service in Melbourne since I was a little boy).

Richmond is a delightful little town to wander around with a visit to see the bridge top of everyone's list of must sees. Unfortunately as I live in England this bridge, although very pretty, is just like so many that we have back home. Anyone from a newer country would enjoy this and the fact that it was built by the convicts does make it interesting.
Lovely to sit by the river and feed the ducks.

Highlight of our personal walking tour. Under and over the Bridge and doing it around dusk meant no other tourists to get into our photos.
