my children had a wonderful time learning all about Hobart's history. The models were well done and very detailed. Very friendly and knowledgeable service. A must while in Richmond.

More history and all very interesting. Well worth the visit. The buildings are faithfully preserved and restored with excellent history boards to explain the various features.

I took 70 photos of the little buildings and figures loved it.. I would say drop the price to around 7 bucks and you would get heaps more people :)

Our 3 year old loved trying to find the four things which were hidden around the little town. Defenitely come back when our 20 month old is more able to take it all in.

A detailed model village of Old Hobart town, complete with lots of description and information comparing modern-day Hobart with how the town would have looked in the 1820s. We enjoyed our visit, staying for around half an hour. Our children loved searching for the four figurines (not as easy as you might think!) to earn a sticker (I was a bit disappointed by the sticker; just a computer printed fluro sticker, but the children were happy with it, and that's what counts!). The village itself is impressive; lots of detail in the buildings and the landscaped bonsai trees which surround them were also amazing. However, we did feel the attraction was slightly over-priced ($32 for a family of four, for less than half an hour's activity), and the figurines weren't as realistic as we expected. But it's a fun way for children to learn about Hobart's history, and we're glad we went!
