“Lovely for breakfast”
Review of Richmond Maze and Tearooms - CLOSED

Richmond Maze and Tearooms
Reviewed December 23, 2013

We have attended this location for breakfast a couple of times recently. Food cooked well, reasonably priced. Good selection of food. Takes a very long time to arrive though. Did not do the maze on these occasions. Staff young, and not very experienced, however they were friendly. Has a front yard with tables and chairs, and an area where young children can run around whilst you eat. Furniture outside in need of a hose down and wiping away of cob webs. Owner very friendly. The cafe has so much potential, I sat there thinking of ways I would improve it if I owned it. But lovely and quaint nonetheless. Would go again.

We stopped here for brunch and it was lovely. Didn't do the maze but the tearooms were very quaint, the couple that run it were so friendly. Prices were extremely reasonable. Nice to go somewhere with a bit of character.

Very basic with fencing posts as the maze, however it took longer than we expected. It was fun trying to get into the middle and then find our way out. As a bonus, you get a free lollie on completing the maze.

Young staff with no personalitys, old and tired setting no changes have been made to this since I was a wee child, there was rubbish allthrough the maze and for the quality of the attraction the cost to get in is steep. basic food, basic facilities, time for an upgrade.
