Owner description: Puddleduck Vineyard is a small family Tasmanian Vineyard owned by Darren and Jackie Brown. We welcome you to taste our beautiful cool climate wine at our friendly cellar door, which is open from 10 - 5 daily. Whilst here you will probably meet Polly our wine dog, or Lucky or cellar door duck. Feel free to have a "Reverse BYO" (you supply the picnic food and we supply the beverages) to enjoy while in the area.

“Surprise find - pretty grounds too”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

Jackie is a friendly hostess who introduced us to Lucky the duck, their mascot. My favs were Bubbleduck (the sparkly - not too dry, perfect with seafood) and Pinot Noir - has a good body and will age well. The Sauv Blanc is on the sweet side, according to hubby. There are tables and chairs outside by the dam. They also sell coffee and drinks and they practise reverse BYO - that is bring your own food.

“Wonderful Day Out!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2013

In between Christmas and New Years we packed a picnic and met our friends (with their two young children) for an afternoon lazing in the sun at Puddleduck. The atmosphere was amazing, and the kids were free to run around in the securely fenced grass area. Having the kids occupied with lots of toys, us adults were free to lounge around on their amazing outdoor beanbags and enjoy some beautiful wine!! The reverse BYO meant we could take all our own food which helped us keep the cost down (brilliant just after Christmas), and they have a great selection of drinks for all ages. We cannot wait to go back!!!

“Welcomed like old friends!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2013

We turned up at 10am on the dot, on our way out of Hobart. We headed straight for the jetty to see the ducks which gravitated towards us immediately, as did the corgies. Jackie then came out to meet us like we were old friends! She made sure our four year old was entertained with toys and then gave us a lovely tasting. Would be gorgeous for a reverse byo later in the day. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.

“Cute”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013 via mobile

This was a cute little winery that is worth a visit. I love that the duck theme runs throughout the cellar door too, it is adorable. We also picked up a nice bottle of their Pinot noir that we'll save for an occasion with friends.

“Don't do the paid wine-tasting!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

We decided to do the $18 per head wine and cheese tasting. While the wines were nice and the cheese platter was interesting, the amount of each wine received was very skimpy. We were very annoyed to see other people who didn't pay for the tasting getting much bigger pours!! Not impressed!!
