Being from California, I was not too excited about the seal lions but there were tons, and tons of birds. Peruvian boobies, terns, penguins, etc. The sea was farily calm. Lots of othet boats were there. I was part of OAT tour so we had our own boat with three passegers so that was great. I was able to move about without hinderance. At the very end, there was a feeding frenzy which was crazy to watch.

You travel by fast boat, take warm, waterproof clothing and a hat, you may not always avoid pelican poo! Stop to view the candelabra(more a cactus) on the way. Amazing bird spectacle, thousands of cormorants, boobies plus sealions and the odd penguin.

You can't come to Paracas and skip the Ballestas islands. We saw a couple of penguins, sealions and a lot of birds. Very fun trip and not very expensive.

We did the trip.with ParacasExplorer and it was great. The guide provided us with loads of information and was nice. We saw many birds and sea lions, but not so many penguins.
The tours usually last 2 hours and start at 8am and 10am.
The only thing that bothered me, was that we got really close to the animals, and it felt like we were disturbing them...

We had a private tour of the Ballestas Islands with Paul as our guide. The tour was amazing, even though the boat broke down due to a rope getting tangled around the propeller from rope in the ocean). Some nearby divers cut the rope and away we went. We saw Humboldt penguins, Peruvian Boobies, Peruvian Pelicans, Sea Lions, nesting birds, and more. The alarm went off on the boat on the way back ( probably from some damage to the motor from the tangled rope) Paul knew we had to catch a flight to see the Nazca Lines and called another boat to get us in. All in all an amazing trip and the drivers were so sensitive to our timeline. I would definitelyvrecommend this trip
