The hotel has a good location and the staff is very helpful and polite. Room was a little bit small, but beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. Breakfast is good and it's in a terrace with a very nice view. I would surely recommend it.

This is a nice hotel, on the main drag in Paracas with excellent views of the Pacific and in close proximity to all the restaurants / cafes as well as the dock for the boat trips. The rooms were very clean, however fairly basic. That said, the hotel provides WiFi and satellite television with plenty of hot water. The breakfast roof terrace is a particular highlight. Springing for an ocean view room on 2nd/3rd floor is recommended. One thing to consider is the lack of an elevator, only stairs. The staff were extremely polite and spoke English. This is a safe hotel that represents great value for money. Recommended.

Overall, Hotel Gran Palma was a great place to stay in Paracas. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the road, cable TV, and a private bathroom. The shower was nice and hot. Breakfast in the morning was decent. It seemed that by 8:30 or 9:00 almost everything was gone. We had to ask to mugs for coffee and plates several days in a row, which wasn't a big deal.

Although the location is great, one downside is that the road the hotel is on was extremely loud in the morning. And I'm not talking just your typical Peruvian honking. The taxi drivers in Paracas honk at every single person they see on the street, usually at least twice or three times. The second morning, we noticed that the taxis started honking at 5:30 AM. Obviously, this isn't the hotel's fault, but it is something to mention. I would definitely look into splurging for the ocean view room, if not only for the ocean view, but to also try to drown out some of the honking on the road on the other side of the hotel.

As a side note, Paracas is very small, and most of the hotels are on this same street. I would assume the honking would be just as bad at most of the hotels in Paracas.

Room Tip: Pay extra for the ocean view room, so you don't have to hear the early morning street noise.

I stayed at this hotel for one night and could have stayed there longer.
Yes, the rooms are quite small but not as small as described in other reviews. The rooms were clean as was the bathroom. The room I had, had a ocean view which was a nice plus.
The staff is nice and helpful.
The hotel is conveniently located, close to restaurant and the pier where you take the boat to ballestas islands.

I would recommend to stay at this hotel if you are looking for good value for your money. I think it is a great alternative to overpriced big resorts close-by.

The hotel Gran Palma was the best find on our whole trip. We were greeted at the front desk by very helpful individuals and this service continued for the whole time we were there. While small, the rooms were clean with great water pressure in the shower and good beds. We lucked out and had a room with a small balcony to the street which we enjoyed. The hotel is located right by the promenade with the restaurants and shops and near the pier for trips to the Ballestras Islands. Complimentary breakfast was good with a very pleasant view of the ocean. Good value and great location.

We really felt that we had picked the best hotel in Paracas. The hotel is clean with a simple, modern design. The bed was very comfortable and we had a lovely view of the town and ocean. Air conditioning made the room comfy, as did cable TV. Hotel staff was incredibly nice and easygoing. The best part is the rooftop terrace where they serve a simple but fresh and delicious breakfast. That alone makes it worth it. I recommend you request a 3rd floor room, as we did. You'll be close to the terrace and away from street noise! Highly recommended for both value and comfort.

Room Tip: 3rd floor ocean view is awesome!

Located close to the beach and within walking distance of the pier where the shuttle boats take you to the Ballestas Islands. It feels almost new, is very clean, has good service and a good breakfast on a terrace overlooking the ocean.
If you're in Pisco to visit the Ballestas, then this is an excellent value choice. There are not many comparable hotel options between this and the fancier 4 and 5 star hotels, such as Libertadores, Doubletree and Aranwa, which are indeed very nice.
In any case, there are only 3 things to do in and around Pisco: visit the Ballestas, take a flight over the Nazca lines leaving from Pisco and/or go for a sand buggy ride into the dunes. The beach itself is not worth to stay on. If you want to save on your stay, yet enjoy top peruvian cuisine, then consider staying here and eating out at one of the top hotels, all with walking distance.

Room Tip: Away from the reception area, preferably with a view over the ocean.
