We enjoyed a great visit to Hacienda Eden in January 2014, our first adventure to Mexico. We ate the majority of our meals at the Jardin del Eden, which is just adjacent to the hotel.
The owners of the restaurant are Jean-Pascal and his wife Mary. They and their staff were super friendly, easy to communicate with, and offered excellent service. The food was delicious and so flavorful...we really enjoyed the French infusion in the Mexican dishes. And, if you want anything special, Jean-Pascal will do his best to accommodate you. For example, we had our hearts set on tuna steaks and though it was hard to come by, our last night at Eden, it was the special of the night! We also can highly recommend the wood-fired pizzas, and Tuesday Taco Night. We enjoyed sampling all of the local recipes. The breakfasts were amazing, from the french toast to the huevos rancheros, to chicken enchiladas, who knew they were a breakfast dish?! Words can not describe how beautiful the sunsets are at Jardin Del Eden, so I will not even try, but it was obvious to us that Eden was the "hot spot" to be for the best view in Troncones! I saved dessert for last, since as you can imagine, a French chef's desserts are to die for!! A few "must tries" are the chocolate chip cake, the crepes, and the chocolate mousse. We had a fabulous time at Eden and much of the enjoyment was the over-the-top dining experiences we had with Jean Pascal and his wonderful staff. We cannot wait to go back again soon.
