This is our 9th year in Troncones and our 2nd year at Majahua Palms. We have brought down 10-12 people with us each year to fill the cabins and play together. mike Graves and his wife are wonderful hosts..the restaurant is well done, the cabins are clean and the vista is magnificent. There is wonderful kayaking in the lagoon nearby and the local naturalist , Alejandro, gives informative Eco tours and bird trips.....if you want to rest, relax, read and tan and be somewhat secluded and tranquil...this is a fantastic place to vacation...

Room Tip: Just select a cabin that is ocean side!

We stayed at Majahua Palms with our family for 8 wonderful, fun-filled days. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law have been coming to Majahua for 4-5 years and they put this trip together with 30 of us staying in their beautiful, clean bungalows with gorgeous views of the beach. Their pool is beautiful and well-maintained and there were many days we stayed by the pool all day with the excellent bartending staff waiting on us. Mike, Lori, Benito and their staff were wonderful and their focus was making this the best vacation experience we have had! The food is delicious and their kitchen spotless. It is a very private, remote resort so plan on renting a car or arranging for a taxi for trips into Ixtapa, Zihua or the little towns of Majahua and Troncones for great shopping. Majahua is a nice mile walk down the beach. The beach is very uncrowded and you can walk for miles or rent horses or bikes. There are vendors that come by if you do not want to go into town, selling jewelry, hats, hammocks, Mexican pottery, etc., along with Lorena's very nice gift shop with similar items. There is an upper deck where you can get the best massage ever for $40 US! This is the place to go to get out of the cold and have the most relaxing and fun vacation you will ever have!!!

Room Tip: The 2 suites available have air conditioning, but the view of the ocean isn't as good. We didn...

We stayed here with my entire family for a Dec-Jan retreat from the snow in Utah. We had 70 degree temps every day on clean, white sandy beaches. Great food, friendly staff, walkable distance to the coast and very comfortable surroundings. We lounged at the pool, ate in the restaurant, walked on the beach, surfed in the waves, and never wanted it to end. 7 days of total relaxation without ever wishing to be somewhere else. These guys are awesome. Mike and Lori and Benito are the real deal!

Room Tip: Awesome bungalows with ocean views were the best!

Majahua Palms Resort is soooo relaxing, beautiful and amazing staff!! Mike,Lori, Benito and the rest of the staff are the best hosts ever!! we spent 5 weeks last winter and are returning again in a few weeks. The units are soooo sweet, comfortable and very clean, the grounds are kept beautiful, trees, flowers, grass and the beautiful pool with lounge chairs. The restaurant and lounge have great food and furnished with amazing artistic wood furniture all this right on the "beach" the ocean view from every part of the resort. Fishing with Benito in his boat "MI REY" is available right from the resort. Swimming, kayak's,surfing...You won't be dissapointed!! Lori has a beautiful little shop with necessities and amazing gifts. Majahua town is only a short walk on the beach and has a few restaurants and grocery stores. The people of Majahua are wonderful and friendly. We are counting the days to our arrival!!

We stayed here in March after taking in the Zihua Guitar Festival. As we rolled into this resort in our taxi, my first impression was WOW, great location and superb grounds! As we got out of the taxi, Mike the GM was right there to greet us and we had the special occasion of having the owners there also at the same time, both of whom were right there also to greet us....great start of things to come. We booked one of the beach front bungalows and it was simply spectacular! The views were excellent and so was the hammock on the large front porch for taking a nice siesta or just taking in the ocean right there in front of you. The inside was nice and spacious and immaculate. The bed had a mosquito net if you felt like using it, but I have to say that it was not needed even with the front window wide open all night. The casual atmosphere here is what really makes a stay here so enjoyable, along with the EXCELLENT service! The pool service was spectacular (never once thought I was thirsty!) and the restaurant food and service was impeccable. Each morning we went for a walk on the beach and the resort dog Scooby joined us each day, waiting patiently at our door to head out with us which we enjoyed greatly. Benito was kind enough to point out where sea turtles had come up the night before to lay their eggs, and clued us in to get up early and see if we could still see one on the beach laying their eggs....we missed our chance but loved the adventure. Mike took us kayaking in the beautiful lagoon down the beach and then for some boogie boarding in nice size waves...what else could you want on a nice sunny day besides a cold cerveza which was always at hand! I myself have traveled all over Mexico and I must say that this place is very special and we will be back again next year for sure! We still talk about our stay here each day, a month and a half later..that says a lot in my book as most places sort of fade away in the memory bank, but not Majahua Palms! Thanks again to everyone who made our stay there so very special! Saludos, Mark y Karen

This resort should be in a category all by itself. Mike and Lori (ex-pats from Washington State) make this place feel like you are visiting your family in your hometown. Your “home” just happens to be on the ocean, has a beautiful pool, private comfortable bungalows facing the ocean. After traveling down some dusty roads, the gates open to the lush, beautiful grounds of Mahahua Palms, Troncones, Mexico. The hosts greeted our family like long lost friends. Our daughter had vacationed there twice before with her family but it was our first time. There is something here for all ages. Our three grandsons were kept busy in the pool, body surfing and playing assorted games that are available on the grounds. A cool ocean breeze blew over us as we lounged in the hammock on the covered porch of our cozy bungalow facing the ocean. Everything is so casual at this resort, we came from the pool directly into the nearby restaurant which is open on three sides. The food is prepared by local cooks and is delicious. Leave your makeup, shoes, hairdryer and resort clothes at home. Bring your bathing suits, a coverup, sunglasses, sunscreen, and flip-flops. That is all you need at this fabulous place. Then sit back, relax and be treated like royalty. You will be lulled to sleep every night by the ocean waves right outside your door. Now that is the perfect vacation!

My husband and I spent 10 days in Majahua at a vacation rental house with friends and were lucky enough to find Majahua Palms right down the beach. Over our time there, we visited for happy hour, dinner with friends, and also rented a surf board and a couple kayaks to explore the fresh water lagoon.

Lorena, Mike and their staff are nothing short of fantastic - the vibe at Majahua Palms is very relaxed and feels like you are visiting friends - the cabanas looked really nice and also offered privacy if your objective really is to escape it all. I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing home base.
