“Good food, nice server, a bit slow.”
Reviewed January 24, 2012

We both had the two fish grilled fish taco plate. They were okay but no much fish to them. Waiter was nice but the lunch took a long time, especially given that there was only one other family of four in front of our order. Doubt if we'll go back.

“Best Service!”
Reviewed December 12, 2011

We loved Carmelitas! We ended up there our first night in town because of the awesome location - right on the square / plaza with outdoor tables so it's lively and fantastic for people watching! We had the fish tacos (grilled) and they were amazing. Another day we went back for the fish tacos (fried) and I liked them even better. Great margaritas and guacamole and, the most charismatic staff member in town - Jorge! Jorge is the host and he is out on the street bringing people in because he is so friendly and enthusiastic - remembers your name and might give you a shot of tequila as well! Definitely recommended!

“Great value for the food & service!”
Reviewed November 22, 2011

Excellent service. Wonderful staff. Extensive food menu with tons of vegetarian options. I ordered a veggie burrito and was pleasantly surprised that it was actually full of veggies, not just rice & beans. My boyfriend treated himself to the bacon wrapped shrimp which he said were absolutely delicious. The tasty margaritas were 2 for 1 and the candlelit tables out on the street overlooked the main plaza which made for a very cultural experience.
Worth a try!

“Carmelita's Great Food, Great Vibe, Great Staff!”
Reviewed August 11, 2011

In Sayulita for the month of August and I'm right up the street from the main plaza. I've been frequenting the little row of restaurants at the bottom of the hill. Carmelita's is a cool place, fresh seafood and great seating right outside.
Their seafood is always fresh and they're happy to accommodate! They also have a bar right up the street that apparently has Pancho Villa's sword and rifle. Jonathan is a nice kid, he makes great margaritas and and is the Jimi Hendrix of Sayulita. He was playing guitar one night and the power kept going on and off on the entire plaza...you could hear him playing guitar in the dark and when the lights came back on he had the guitar behind his head like Jimi!
