My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights, Feb. 19 - 23, and we really enjoyed it. Especially the hospitality. The people who work here are very friendly and accomodating. There are still some things that have yet to be completed, like light fixtures and room furnishings. Our room was very basic. We had a queen sized bed, a night stand with lamp, a mini fridge, a shelf and a bathroom. The room was more than big enough to have a dresser and/or closet (there was nowhere to hang any of our clothes or put them somewhere other than leave them in our suitcases on the floor). There was also ample room for a table and chairs. After dark, if we wanted to play some cards and have a couple of drinks, we ended up sitting on our bed to do so. There is an awesome rooftop terrace that we would have been able to use, but there was still some work being done up there and the lights didn't work. We looked in another room that had the same exact layout as ours and it had a table and 2 chairs...so they're getting there!
As well, because of the courtyard type layout, we found it to be quite loud and echoey. We could easily hear people speaking in other rooms so we found ourselves whispering and being worried about making too much noise. Perhaps when everything is complete and large empty areas, like in our room, aren't so empty, a lot of the reflecting noise will be lessened.
I don't want this to sound like I'm complaining, because I'm not and we didn't. They weren't huge issues for us, but they were enough that we didn't seek to extend our stay here and we found accomodations elsewhere, after our 5 prebooked nights were up. When this hotel is complete, we would definitely stay here again. The layout of the place is gorgeous, the roof top is awesome, there's bikes and boogie boards to use for free, there's wi-fi, everything is brand new, it's small and safe and a perfect distance from town and the beach, and most importantly the people here are really great. If we make it back to Sayulita again next winter, we'd give Hotelito Los Suenos another go.

Sayulita is a charming seaside town with a gorgeous beach, good restaurants and a friendly mix of locals and visitors. And Hotelito Los Suenos is the perfect place to stay while enjoying your visit.

Recently renovated and reopened in December 2010, the hotel still has some amenities to provide but so far it's got the basics just right. It's a ten-minute walk from the center of town in a quiet neighbourhood just a block or two from the beach. The leafy courtyard and cool blue pool offer a welcome oasis. The rooms are basic but comfortable and well cleaned. There is a rooftop terrace and a yoga studio, with plans to open a juice bar (with margaritas in the late afternoon, I hope!)

The Canadian owner and his staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They even offer free phone calls to Canada and the US. Overall, Hotelito Los Suenos has a wonderful, relaxed vibe and once they finish the details, it will be even better. Highly recommended.

Hotelito Los Suenos was very quiet and safe which was very important to me as a solo traveler. The price was very reasonable and the hotel was located only a short walk from town and the beach.

The only negative was that my room was plain and only had one window which looked at a set of stairs. Obviously this was not a great room but it certainly did the job.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and I was quite happy with my stay at the hotel.

We had the pleasure of being one of the first guests to stay here and cannot wait to return to this beautiful "little hotel of dreams!" Peter, the owner, a native Canadian, has really captured the true essence of Mexican charm and his eagerness and excitement about this project shows everywhere. The hotel was in the last phases of completion when we were there and we had the opportunity to actually see how the palapa roof was built and to experience the Mexican culture in full work force. Gabriel oversees the day to day operations and is always so friendly and happy to help you plan your days and nights in Sayulita. Both make the stay at Hotelito Los Suenos completely fun and satisfying; they are eager to have you share what they know will be a wonderful experience on all of your visits to Sayulita. Peter has made the entire top of the hotel into a beautiful tropical paradise with sun deck, outdoor bar and kitchen under palapa where Gabriel will be giving cooking lessons. Under another large palapa roof, yoga lessons and other activities are planned. You will immediately feel at home here whether relaxing on the sun deck with a book, listening to Gabriel tell his funny stories, or sitting and talking with Peter about the wonderful life that he has found here. I highly recommend this adorable place for your first or next visit to Sayulita, MX. Hotelito Los Suenos is truly the "little hotel of dreams".
