Grab a table in the little courtyard at night....it's away from the crowds and lit up with candles. Next bring your favorite beer or bottle of wine, as no alcohol is served ( you are welcome to bring your own). Now order some delicious shrimp chile rellenos and enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars :)

This place is not fancy, but clean with good food. We live in near by puerto Vallarta, and will definitely return to Antonia's whenever we make it sayulita.

This restaurant is off the beaten path but serves the best true cuisine in a very rustic location.

i must say that i was excited after i read the reviews, but the reality is that the poor service and the greasy food compromised my judgment. i used to recommend it, but not anymore, talking to the people around they told me about a way better place for mexican food, that the locals call Antojitos Mexicanos, this place i couldn't find it, i think they said, Dona Chalo or something like that.

at Antonia's i ordered enchiladas, usually a basic mexican dish, very hard to do it wrong and they did it. Greasy and burned food came to my table. My husband ordered some gorditas and the same result. i am not going back. hopefully i will succeed in finding that other place.

Antonia invites you into her garden and cooks you up a meal from scratch in her outdoor kitchen. Her fish & shrimp chiles rellenos are the best I've ever had and I've had a ton of 'em. Her guacamole is made fresh to order and is delicious. She'll engage you in conversation and introduce you to her family members. She was having a family reunion the evening we went. She made them and us dinner at the same time!

She's open until 11:00 which is great because most of the other restaurants in town can close down really early. However, she's only open Fridays through Mondays. The prices are very reasonable. I took other folks there and they were equally impressed.

Highly recommend.

This is the place that you go for a good home cooked meal. I feel like I have been invited to a family meal.
The quality of the food is good and the portions sufficient. Prices range from $65 for fish burritto or mole pollo, carne asado to $100 for garlic fish. All meals seem to come with rice and cabbage.

They do not serve alcohol but you can bring it yourself. Just remember to bring your opener or ask at another table to borrow theirs.

note: they are only open for dinner and only from Friday to Monday.
