Wow! This is an excellent example of a boutique hotel. I think there are only 6 or 8 rooms and it feels like a home. Uniquely decorated. I can only speak to my room which had an Arabic theme. The photo is the dome tower and decorative star over my shower, which let in natural light. Directly across from the church in the center of town and spectacular views from my room as well as the common rooftop terrace. The staff was very friendly and adorable. Loved my stay.

Monsaraz was a highlight of our recent cycling holiday in Portugal and Casa Pinto was the perfect hotel to stay at when visiting the town. Full of character, lovely rooms, nice breakfast and a wonderful hidden roof-top terrace to enjoy the views of the town and surrounding countryside.

Lovely welcome at this town centre property with many interesting touches.
Sat out in the little oasis at the back on arrival with lovely home made cakes.
Full selection of beers, wines and spirits on a honesty basis.
Room was comfortable if a little tight on space with our cycling gear (not including the bikes!)
Breakfast was excellent with fantastic scrambled eggs provided for my wife who cannot eat wheat. I managed a couple of the excellent hot home made bread rolls along with fruit, Greek yoghurt, ham, cheese, freshly squeezed orange juice and great coffee.... Got to keep your strength up on these cycling trips....
Only downsides were the room being a bit too warm (there is air con) and the stairs are quite steep and tight if you are of restricted mobility. Otherwise all highly recommended.

Charming well located, inside the city walls. Very comfortable bed and a well decorated room ( Mombasa). Breakfast is very good and the view from the roof garden is excellent. Congratulations to Maria and Fatima, always taking very good care of the guests, we felt like home and it was very hard to leave this place. Sunset was exceptional from the roof garden!

What a great hotel to say in. It is unique and so tastefully yet interestingly appointed. From the moment we arrived Maria was so charming and made us feel totally at home - even to the extent of holding breakfast for us the next day as we had gone on a small hike before breakfast that lasted longer than expected.
The rooms are set up with all you need to a high standard, beautifully clean and high quality feel. The help yourself bar and tea/ coffee stations are great as is the stunning rood terrace with THE view.
This is a charming, relaxing and adult place to stay - we loved it and would happily return; thank you Maria!

Room Tip: We stayed in Mobassa Room and it was great.
