“Makes your visit to Grignan complete”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

If you're visiting Grignan, this hotel will allow you to experience everything in Grignan by foot. It's a small town, so the hotel is within walking distance of all important locations, and it's near the bottom of the hill, so if you've had dinner with some wine, it's just a downhill stroll back home. I cannot stress this point enough: Grignan is one of those villages perched on a hilltop, and it looks like one organic whole. The freedom to just explore at will and then have dinner with free flowing wine is a huge bonus, as you know you're only five minutes walking from a cozy room. We overheard other people in a restaurant discussing who was going to be the designated driver, and we felt sorry for them.

The hotel is at a square where there's free parking for your car, so that's also a bonus. We staid there for just a few nights, but the area around Grignan is so attractive that we could've easily staid for longer. Our room was nicely decorated and the bed slept well. Other good points were that the staff was friendly, that there was free wifi, and that we had our own fridge / freezer in the room so we could keep our car's freezer box chilly. There were even some beautiful cats in the hotel's garden, which adds charm.

It's not the cheapest option if you're on a budget, but it's charming and so very, very ideally located. Bring a coat if it's past august - it may be the south of France, but if you're having dinner on a patio, the wind can get chilly at night.

Room Tip: Our room faced the street, and we had no trouble at all with noise from neighbours or from outside.

this is good value for money! Warm welcome, well-thought out rooms and bathrooms. It's all there! And none of the arrogance one finds in other places (not too far away). Parking just across the road and the chateau just up the hill.

This is an amazing little find. The hotel is simply outstanding, well placed and accessible to the rest of the town of Grignan. The staff were so friendly and helpful, it's a pity we only had one night here.

Room and bathroom excellent, a pleasure to stay in.

We didn't have breakfast here so can't comment but the hotel is a great one to stay at when visiting Grignan, we would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: We booked superior double not the standard room

What a charming hotel. The entry to our room was through French doors off a long private balcony overlooking the countryside. We were grateful for the elevator since it would have been a long climb indeed up those many stairs. Breakfast was a bargain with cereals, yogurt, ham, cheese, croissants, and many delicious local honeys and jams to try on the wonderful breads. A beautiful hotel with an exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.

This hotel is in the centre of the town with adjacent free but public parking. Itr has a range of recently redecorated rooms and the one which were allocated was very comfortable and very quiet. The hotel is in a very old building which has been very well converted to a modern hotel. The bathroom was very modern and the there was always plenty of hot water for showers.

The buffet breakfast was very good with a wide range food from cooked (omelette fried bacon and a rice dish) to yoghurts include a health drink.

We would throughly recommeded this hotel to any one visiting the Gringan or the surround area which is very beautiful and steeped in history.

Room Tip: they have a range of rooms in different levels of luxury / decoration we use dbooking.com yo book on...

Previous positive reviews led us to this small hotel in the fabulous town of Grignan, and we were not disappointed. Friendly reception, easy parking across the street, and a central location gave us an immediate good impression. However, the extra details are what make this reasonably priced hotel exceptional: Spotless and spacious (relatively) rooms, bathrobes, toiletries, etc. - things you don't usually find even in good three star establishments. The breakfast was also copious and served in a pleasant and sunny room. We'll be back!

Room Tip: Room 15 is large and has tile floors and wooden ceiling beams

This was a surprise, it is such a nice place. It so provencal. The room was the cutest thing ever and I even had my own little terrasse. Some walls of the room were the original bricks of the building, it just was perfect. We had air-conditioning (very rare in Europe) and the bed was really comfy. You also have a little fridge and some free drinks in it.
The breakfast was excellent, you will find a big variety and for honey lovers (like my son) you will be very happy as there was about 8 different kind of honey to choose from.
The only little bugger was the man who check us in, he was Ok but very quick and not that friendly. There was also a lady at the check in in the evening but she was great.
I hope I can go back soon ...
