Completed the holiday fare wine trail over the weekend and have to say it was a fun experience and we would definitely check out all the different trail offerings. The only downside our group of 7 found with this trail was that there was a lot of desserts offered with the wines. So by your 5th or 6th stop you were getting overloaded with sugar. But all the dessert offerings were tasty! There were also several wines our group didn't particulary care for (mulled wines and reds), but we enjoyed the experience and certainly appreciated the wineries that were offering a free tasting for wine trail participants. If fact, we were rather suprised by the couple of wineries that were requiring wine trail participants to still pay for the tasting; seems this should be included in the $30 fee.

We are so happy you enjoyed the Holiday Fare Wine Trail! Yes, we had a lot of desserts and they were all very tasty! I will pass your comments on to the member wineries. Thank you for sharing your comments with us. We hope to see you on another wine trail event in the future! Cheers!

“Delicious and Fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

My husband and I truly enjoyed the Berries 'n BBQ wine trail. The food served was really delicious - I would say we LOVED 6 of the 7 food & wine pairings and the 7th was ok. Several of the location offered recipes that I will definitely be using at home. For us the number of wineries was just perfect for a weekend away.

“Berries and BBQ”

7 wineries and BBQ and glass of wine at each for $30. Not a bad price. We enjoyed riding the trolly around. Disappointed they didn't take us to the two out of town Bias and Robiller. Great girls trip!

Thank you for the kind words about our Berries & BBQ Wine Trail event! We think it is a great deal too! The wineries go all out trying to find the perfect food pairing with their menu choice. We hope you visit us again for one of our other wine trail events!

Great event, great way to experience the local wineries and sample some great local wines. We did the wine trail event, along with 100's of other patrons, we had a great experience. It was a great way to pair wines we wouldn't have normally bought with some great food.

“BBQ, Wine and Berries Tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

We purchased tickets for the BBQ, Wine and Berries weekend. Good, not great. My advice for anyone is to absolutely go on the wine trail on non-event weekends. There are beautiful views from Oak Glen Winery with ok wine. Stone Hill of course. Adam Puchta for the wine and tasting process. Also, if you have time, check out Lost Creek Winery outside of Hermann a few miles east of 19 off of Hwy 94. Nice OASIS in the hills. Very good wine too. We are really blessed in Missouri with wonderful scenery, historic river villages like Hermann, and great, great food in the STL area and throughout Missouri, especially over the past 15 years and all at a price that won't break your piggy bank. Hermann is a great town. Must visit if you are in the area. Also, don't forget the Tin Mill brewery there.

Thank you for your review. The Hermann Wine Trail appreciates your kind words about the Hermann Wine Trail and area. Yes, it is less busy on a non-event weekend. Many visitors like the hustle and bustle of an event but we appreciate that they are not for all. We are fortunate to have such great hospitality and great wines in our backyard! Please visit us again!
