The music from the bar housed in the same building, but separating the restaurant by a swinging door was WAY TOO LOUD.

We were served, and never saw our waitress again. The food was okay. We were only Served one drink. So dinner came and the waitress took off. I had to try and get the busboy to run her down. He couldnt find her. We were a table of ten. We threw our money on the table and left. We looked thru the Window and she appeared right way. Grabbed our money n walked way from table. Not a care in the world.

It was a clean and tidy restaurant with good options on the menu. Nothing that really stood out though. What I did like was that I was able to take the pram in and there was still plenty of room for us and all the other patrons.

When Simon's is on their game, service is satisfactory (never great) but the food is some of the best in town. The owner is a wonderful chef. The seafood and Cajun can be excellent. The Jaeger Schnitzel (German fare) is best in town. You can get a really good meal here. But if the front of the house is off (because the front is under-managed), then dinner can be frustrating and disappointing. This is one place where the front of the house regularly lets down the kitchen. When the front of the house is off their game, service can be as slow as a slug. Will the front of the house be on their game or off their game when you go? That's really hard to say.

After drinking wine all day, an overpriced fatty steak hit the spot in a town where there is little to no fine dining.
