Description: Built in 1878, the Concert Hall and Barrel is the oldest continually operating tavern west of the Mississippi. Today we proudly continue a time-honored tradition of good food and good times in Hermann, Missouri. Wednesday through Sunday, we serve lunch and dinner, featuring German specialties year-round. Our menu includes a wide selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, steaks, pizzas and seafood. Our sports bar is a place where customers can eat, drink and socialize while watching the latest televised sports events on our numerous television screens. We have four big TV screens, and when the patio is open we add another! We serve a wide selection of local wines, craft beers, spirits and signature drinks. As in days of old, the spacious second-floor Concert Hall can accommodate a large group for rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties, birthday parties, business meetings, and fundraisers. A private banquet room on the first floor may be reserved for smaller occasions. Located in historic downtown Hermann, Missouri, it's just a short walk from the Amtrak station, making it a great first or last stop in town.

“Bad food and service”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

My tastes range from gourmet to not, and I like a good sports bar. This isn't it. The food was terrible. The prices were high. The service was bad. The patrons weren't friendly. The things this place has going for it: it has a local vibe, is located in a neat historic building, and it has a lot of TVs if you want to catch the game.

“Owner made us leave so he could table a friend”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

We were there 10/12 and had purchased some appetizers with drinks for four. We had 4 more people coming to join us but the owner told us we had to leave because we were not eating. We had just finished our appetizers but he did not believe us. We were waiting on the other 4 to arrive so we could order dinner but he apparently had some friends he wanted to seat and made us leave. We have been coming here for years but NOT ANYMORE due to the rude owner. They made us leave and gave our table to friends. Very poor customer service and appreciation for paying customers. He missed out on our final tab big time! I'm not sure if these are new owners or not but they were horrible to us this year. My husband, being the good guy that he is, found the waitress and paid the tab. If he hadn't done that, she would have had to pay our tab for us out of her check because of the lowsy owner.

“Food terrible”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

Both my husband and I did not like our food. The reuben meat was more like lunch meat and was missing the 1000 island dressing. The first 2 items my husband ordered they were out of. He ordered a brat and did not like it. He is not a picky eater.

“Good basic bar and restaurant”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

Went to the bar for a cardinals game. Fun and boisterous with a huge screen tv. Then went to the restaurant side for dinner. Nothing extravagant but we all enjoyed our meal. Service on both sides was fine.
