I really enjoyed this hour long cruise. We had our 3 children along and they enjoyed the thrill of being on a "huge" riverboat. The captain had a wonderful speaking voice and was very informative about sights along the riverfront. We sat on the top deck directly in front of the captain and crew and towards the end of the cruise, the captain asked my kids if they wanted to help steer the boat. My kids were thrilled and it made the ride even more enjoyable!

Having been on dinner cruises in the past, we were really looking forward to this experience. Had reservations on a weeknight and there weren't many passengers - less than 1/4th capacity. Upon boarding we were seated at our reserved table & told they would be serving dinner as soon as we were underway. Would've preferred to go up on deck and watch as we pulled away from dock, but felt we would be "late" for the service. Young lady (Captain's daughter) introduced staff & provided musical entertainment. She has a beautiful voice & a moving personal story. Unfortunately she came across as pushy & made several in our group feel a bit uneasy. The food is served buffet-style but you are only allowed one trip through. Offered tossed salad, pasta salad, green beans, baked potato, chicken breast (with some BBQ type seasoning), cubed roast beef & rolls with brownies for dessert. Food was okay - one person in our group referred to it as "Sam's Club sample day". As soon as everyone was served, the buffet was taken away. Seems a shame that we couldn't go back for seconds with all that leftover food. Assume the leftovers were saved for next evenings cruise. Enjoyed our time up on deck watching the scenery as we traveled down the river.

We enjoy going out in the fall of the year so it's a little cooler and the sun goes down when your out on the river. Watching the lights come on along the river banks from out side after you eat is very enjoyable.

The ride on this riverboat is a great way to see Hannibal from a different perspective. Seeing it from the river you get to see it the way travelers would have in years past. You also get a view of Lovers Leap, the old ice house, and islands that would be hard to get any other way.

The boat does need some updating, but it looked liked they are currently working on remodeling it.

We couldn't miss riding up and down the Mississippi on a real riverboat while in Hannibal and this was a good cruise. We just did the day time cruise. The kids had fun trying to spot animals and birds on the islands as we floated by, and we even saw a bald eagle! On the way back to Hannibal, one of the crewmen came down and asked me if the kids would like to come up to help pilot the boat. Each one got their own turn steering the wheel and they thought that was very cool. : ) It was a nice relaxing ride and the cabin is air conditioned which was a nice relief from the heat. Although standing out on the deck provides a nice breeze as you cruise, so it wasn't bad either way.
