So Hannibal spelled backwards is... You guessed it. Good food with many dishes having a Turkish or Medeterranian twist. Nicely presented and very classy for this out of the way town. I would go again!

My husband and I came to Hannibal for a spontaneous weekend getaway. We didn't really expect much from the restaurants here. He's worked in kitchens for years and he's usually disappointed when we go out to eat. From the appetizers to the entrees everything was fantastic! He had the African Peri-Peri, no additional salt or pepper needed, it was perfectly prepared. I had the Tilapia Siciliano and enjoyed every bite. The place has a warm inviting feel to it, it's small but, I think that adds to the charm. The server was sweet, friendly and efficient, I feel he would be a fast friend if we lived in the neighborhood! The food took a little bit to get to us but, well worth the wait! Make sure you make a reservation.

Housed at the end of a row of historic victorians just north of the corner of Fifth and Center street sits LaBinnah Bistro. Each of its two cozy dining rooms, a former victorian livingroom and dining room, is decorated with several small paintings and, unexpectedly, a flat screen TV which silently features early Hitchcock films. This decor helps to create the bistro's charming, romantic, yet esoteric atmosphere. The kitchen offers a large menu selection, featuring dishes from Istanbul to Louisiana, all absolutely delicious, from the appetizers, to the salads, to the entrees, including the best Dolmas and the Shrimps Istanbul I have ever had. The servings are perfect size, especially if you are splitting an appetizer and want to try one of their tasty salads before your entree. Don't skip dessert. Do not miss the baklava. It is fantastic, not too sweet, but rich and slightly savory, excellent with a Turkish coffee...and made by your very friendly host/server/manager/part owner. After staying in Hannibal for over a month I can say that this little gem is a "don't miss".
Feel free to dress casual; the atmosphere is quite relaxed, but take note: Hannibalians tend to dine early, especially in the fall. If you are dining during the summer, sit outside. Out door seating is offered on the front porch or in the white, summery candle lit mesh tents placed in their garden.

Jennifer,

Thank you very much for taking your time and reviewing our business.
I wish you the best luck with your archaeological researches.
Also, I can't wait to tell my mother that everyone loves my Baklava as much as hers, she will be very proud ;)

With Kind Regards,

Arif Dagin

Whether it's passing through, a day-trip or a weekend in Hannibal, MO, make time (and take your appetite) to dine at LaBinnah Bistro. Prepare to be very impressed by a wonderfully varied menu, including daily chef's choices. The presentation is beautiful, and your taste buds will be delighted. Save room for dessert(s). You simply must finish the meal with one (or more) of their fabulous desserts. The servings are generous and the fare outstanding. It is truly a delightful dining experience in a warm and cozy atmosphere. Don't miss it.

We loved this restaurant! The menu is huge and they even offered specials. Salmon was perfectly cooked as was the lamb chop. Friendly and efficient. We only saw one person working! Anticipated a long wait for food but did not experience that at all! Must have had an incredibly efficient kitchen! We especially appreciated the whimsy of the name!
