Have been to Purina Farms several times. As a venue for dog events, there is no equal. The Purina Event Center is a top notch facilty. Even on a hot weekend, the interior temp was nice and cool. There is a cafe that serves pretty decent food that is somewhere north of fast food, but south of a casual dining chain. We camp at the adjacent camping area, and if I had one complaint, it would be that a very long sewer hose is needed if using the sewer hookup. The shower/bath facilty was clean and well-maintained. The folks at Purina are wonderful supporters of canine sports, and we're thankful that they built this wonderful facility.

Wonderful experience. Cats, dogs, pigs, chickens... beautiful landscape, a nice little tractor pulled hayride. Did I mention free? GREAT for kids. A little bit of a drive from St. Louis but definitely a must see for people traveling with younger kids.

Attended the ASC Nationals, perfect place for this. This is 2nd time I have been at this venue.
Wish there were a better selection of hotels and restaurants in the area.

Our group consisted of my son and daughter-in-law, their son, 2 1/2 and two other grandchildren aged 9 and 6 and my husband and myself. My husband didn't want to go because he isn't a big animal fan, but we were already in the area and talked him into it. We ALL had a great time. We started off in the Petting Barn where we watched a "farmer" milk a cow. A few of the kids got to help him with it. Then we saw and petted cows, horses, donkey, sheep, goats, chickens and a lamb. Then upstairs to the loft to play in the hay and ride on little tractors. Next we went outside where there were more animals and over to the Dog Show. These are trained dogs who catch Frisbees, run through obstacle courses and even run, jump and catch a Frisbee before falling into the water. We spent some time in the reasonably priced Gift Shop and then lastly we took a hay rack ride that took us all over the very large grounds of Purina Farms. Everyone totally enjoyed it...even my husband. Highly recommend.
