My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary here. We spent three nights in the ballroom and absolutely loved it. The inn is very clean, tastefully decorated.and the breakfasts were awesome. The grounds are beautiful and there are plenty of things to do and places to sit and just enjoy the outdoors. The hosts are awesome people! I definitely will return. If you want a place to relax, this is it! You won't regret it.

We were there on a Monday thru Friday. The grounds are beautiful we walked the trail enjoyed "Nature" We enjoyed sitting in the living room of mansion and reading and relaxing. There are snacks and soft drinks and all kinds of teas and coffee. Beverly and Craig are Awesome!! We stayed in the Tuscany Suite for 3 days and in the Mansion in the Striped Suite for 2 days. They BOTH are wonderful the shower in the Tuscany is to die for :) and we loved the comfortable sitting chairs in the Striped Suite. I loved the Striped Suite the best as it was in the Mansion and wonderful to go downstairs early in the morning and make coffee. We loved reading all about the history of the Mansion and Beverly really cares about making your stay everything you wanted it to be. We celebrated our Anniversary and the flowers and Choc covered Strawberries were Great! We will be back and I believe we may try the Ball Room Suite next time or the Cottage. We did get to see all the rooms and there is not a bad room in the place. The town of Excelsior Springs is small but we loved it. You must eat at the Ventana Café downtown Excelsior Springs we had at least 3 meals there and we would stop just for the desserts ( she makes all her own) Wendy one of the owners is so sweet and we wished we had her place of business back where we live!!! Her Pasta is awesome and my husband said the Steaks are some of the best he has ever had. This property is so beautiful and we so want to come back it is only 30 min from Kansas City and just a few minutes from Jesse James place and a few minutes from Harry Truman Library. Thank You Beverly & Craig you made it a stay to treasure!!!

We stayed here to attend in wedding in Richmond. We arrived after check-in on Friday, and the key with was in an envelope in a drawer, just as was stated in the email. We stayed in the Emerald Rose room. It was lovely and just as expected. The property is beautiful. We played ping pong, went on the paddleboat, and just relaxed on the hammock. The breakfasts were great! And there are always some snacks around. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They directed us to where we could buy some new pants for my husband when we saw that there were holes in his pants; they also let me borrow an iron & ironing board. And they got it immediately! They also cleaned our room while we were relaxing after breakfast. There is a desktop computer for guests to use, but there wasn't a printer. So when I needed to print our boarding passes, I called Beverly and she did it for us! Then Craig brought them over and gave them to us. If we are ever in this area again, we would definately stay here.

We enjoyed this bed and breakfast so much that we visited it twice this year. The staff is very friendly and it is nice and clean and relaxing. We stayed in the Crescent and it was like our own little apartment. Love the town that it is located in because it is quite with nice little places to eat with several wineries. Would highly recommend it!!

What I love about this town is there is not much to do so you can just relax. The inn was so nice and clean. We drank wine and paddled around in the boat then sat in the hot tub for a long time. Breakfast was amazing. I wish I knew what kind of sheets they use, they were so soft. Thanks for a great stay, we will be back.

We fully trusted our friends who recommended this bed & breakfast, but were impressed even beyond our expectations. We WILL plan to come again, and definitely suggest it to friends. We noticed how quiet it was in our room...so refreshing. We enjoyed the walking path with multiple benches for stopping and reading, as well as relaxed boating on the pond. The atmosphere and grounds are wonderful, and the staff exude warmth. Katja

This is a wonderful inn, and the innkeepers are so friendlly and amazing. It was a beautiful, romantic weekend as we strolled through town and visited the famous Excelsior Springs. Our room was large, comfortable and quiet. Thanks so much for this restful weekend and amazing breakfasts !

Room Tip: Nice weekend away. We live in KS and it was a wonderful getaway. The historic Excelsior Springs and...
