Holiday Inn Saint Louis West Six Flags
Ranked #1 of 3 Hotels in Eureka
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We stay here a few times a year and never had a bad stay. We have season passes to six flags and go quite often. The only downside is the room rates during the summer months are a little high compared with other hotels in the area. The pool and game area is very nice. It would be fantastic if they offered a continental breakfast. We have eaten at the restaurant onsite and did not have a good experience, but there are several great places to eat near the hotel.

We appreciate the review you completed after your stay with us. It’s great to hear you return to our hotel for your visits to Six Flags. We appreciate your feedback on the hotel price during the summer months and hope our added amenites with the Fun Dome, Kid's Eat Free Program & shuttle to Six Flags offer some price value. You are probably aware we provide a complimentary shuttle to Six Flags but may not know we are the only hotel providing this service. A savings of $18 per day for parking we hope gives guests of Six Flags and our hotel an “extra” during their stay.

This summer you will see some new items on our Haymarket Restaurant menu as well as some changes to our menu in the Terrace Bar and Pizza Corner. We hope you will try our restaurant again and let us know about your experience.

First I would like to thank Demi who was the front desk clerk that greeted us, she was very professional. This Hotel was very nice we loved the decor, we got a room pool side and yes it was noisy but that is to be expected when you have children playing all about. Once the pool closed it was peaceful and quiet. The view over the pool was also a delight. We did not eat at any of the restaurants but plan on next visit. This is truly a family place and a great place to stay if going to the theme park. So if your looking for peace and quiet this may not be the place for you unless you arrive late at night when the children are sleep.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side are quieter and away from the pool noise.

Demi will be excited to hear you mentioned her professionalism in your review. We will recognize her for a job well done.

I am glad to hear you like the decor. Our decor is historic and unique in the lobby, restaurant and meeting space. Of course the Fun Dome is a great place for gathering and enjoying a variety of activities. I appreciate your suggesting rooms non-pool view for guests who want to enjoy a more quite area.

We look forward to your next visit!

We were traveling across the country and pulled into this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. The gentleman that checked us in was so nice, his name was Daniel. It was perfect for a quick over night stay.

We went to the Holiday Inn as a quick night get-a-way with our children (ages 14, 11, and 7).
One of the reasons that we came was for the indoor pool since it was a chilly day here in March...a break from the norm.
Yes, I have to agree that the facility and parts of the room/hotel were outdated, but the beds were extremely comfortable, and the way they set the room up to try to look more updated was nice. The room was also clean and the staff was very accommodating. We did have a problem with the heat not working, and when I called front desk they sent someone to fix the problem right away. We went to the pool and the young man that was working on the heating unit came down and found us and told us it was fixed. There was also a staff lady, Sandra, that was working the pool that night and she was interacting with the children in the pool. She was attentive to her job, but also had fun with it! (I feel that when someone is doing a great job it's good to let them know that they are appreciated).
The bar had great drinks at reasonable prices. We did not eat at the restaurant, so I don't have a recommendation on that.
Yes, it is outdated, but we all had a great time! Staff was very nice and accommodating, the pool was great, and beds were comfortable!
So if you can deal with that, then you would love the stay there!

Attended a wedding reception here and spent the night. I needed to get in my room early and though the hotel could not assure me of an early entry, the staff was extremely kind and got me in a room before noon. They were very helpful.

Now, as far as the hotel, it is definitely a family-oriented hotel. I did not eat in the restaurant, but the "bar" is a little tiki-hut on the pool deck. In other words, don't plan on hanging in the bar for a late(er) night cocktail. The rooms and overall hotel is older, but for the price it is valued about right.

As others have noted, it is right next door to the Six Flags Park. Plenty of name-brand restaurants a short drive away.

The entire hotel was beautiful it reminded me of an old timey castle everyone on here says it needs remodeld i highly disagree i love the interior and if they ever change the castle feel i will cry.I also highly enjoyed the hotel's very nice workout facility. All in all i had an amazing time and will stay here every time i come to the St. Louis area.

I have lived in St. Louis but never had occasion to come to this hotel. I was PLEASANTLY surprised by how incredibly NICE and FRIENDLY the ENTIRE staff was. It was a great experience from beginning to end. We stayed there for New Years Eve. The staff was extremely accommodating. The bed was very comfortable, room clean, public areas very nice. I wasn't expecting it to be a four star hotel but they sure gave us four star service.
I am also a priority club member and they do a LOT of extra nice things to make you feel special. Such as special welcome basket/snacks/toiletries in the room.
Yes it's an older hotel, but it was clean, and the staff is truly outstanding.
