My wife and I stayed here in the late Fall. We were looking for a quiet place to stay, while we explored the Current River on kayaks. This was a great "find" for us, as it exceeded our expectations. The people at the ranch are very friendly, the house was spacious and comfortable, and the sunset we saw one morning from the hilltop was exceptional. If I tried really hard to find a negative or two, it would be the soapy smell in the laundry room. This was not a problem, as long as we closed the door between the laundry room and the living areas. There is also an ancient TV, which displays mostly colors in the green and magenta tones. But, we weren't here to watch TV anyway. The house is an older ranch house, so don't expect a fancy B&B (we didn't). Everything is functional and comfortable (kitchen, beds, temp control, etc.). There's even a game room (down the hill), with ping pong and fussball. The price might be a little higher than other accommodations elsewhere(?), but the value to us for having the hilltop to ourselves was priceless. My wife, also, had fun feeding the chickens, geese, and goats. We're from the West Coast, so I don't know if we'll be back to the Ozarks anytime soon. But, I'll know where to stay if we're in the area again. Five Stars.
