“Nice day trip”
Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

We did the day trip to the island - it was a good day out. Unfortunately we couldn't snorkel due to weather but enjoyed some kayaking. The activities were ok but they overdo it a bit with all the build up - just get on with it! The island is nice but the hammocks need a bit if tlc. We also didn't appreciate being rushed onto the boat with no warning 15 mins before the scheduled departure. No time to take kids to toilet and one baby with a really stinky nappy! Overall a nice day out but I'd advise others to be selective about the activities unless you really want to watch the same Fijian dance show that you've probably already seen at the resort.

Thank you for your review.

Unfortunately the weather isn't always on our side and snorkelling isn't possible both for the safety of our guests, and poor visibility makes it pointless.

As you mentioned there are many other activities on offer and our staff really enjoy the guests feedback so I will be sure to mention your comments.

It was unfortunate that you felt rushed to get on the boat for departure and I will mention this to the MC for the show that perhaps they could make an announcement before the final number. Do keep in mind that we advertise the departure time in our brochures and the tour desk staff should also advise guests of this.

Vinaka and best wishes.

We stay for about 5 nights on the island. The food and accommodation were great, so was the entertainment. Both night and day had many activities to get involved in. It is the perfect getaway for anyone to enjoy, couples, families, friends, even trips alone would be great. We went in the middle of winter and the weather was perfect. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

I would happily return to Robinson Crusoe Island and I hope to soon. Highly recommended and I guarantee you will not want to leave

The whole experience was wonderful. The personalised service from being the only 2 on the transfer boat - yet still the staff came down to sing a welcome to us, to ensuring we had everything we needed and also ensured our transfer to the next resort was arranged.
We stayed in Frangipani Lodge - a comfortable Bure with screens on the windows. Had a few problems with water not flowing properly over night, but it was quickly repaired. Entertainment was excellent and the way the staff engaged with all visitors was great to see. Food was plentiful and Fiji Style. Although the weather had not been kind with strong winds, the staff tried their best to ensure the beach was cleaned of seaweed each day. We did not go snorkelling as it was a bit rough but the water was clear. The warmth and friendliness of all of the staff - especially Luke, made it a great experience.

Room Tip: As I like my creature comforts we chose an Island Lodge with ensuite.

We took a day trip as part of a large group of friends and family to the island and it was a very relaxing day made even better because of the staff! They were so lovely and so enthusiastic. The island, the shows and performances and the lunch were all beautiful. Prices were a little expensive to use the beach facilities and the boys were a little disappointed because they booked and paid to go out fishing, but when the time came they couldn't wake up the Captain, so they had to get a refund .... Fiji time!
All in all we had a great day.

We were here for 9 nights (Bure Levu) and had a fantastic stay. You can relax all day or join all the activities on the Island. Staff is wonderful and makes you fell very welcome. Food is Fiji style and very good. We are already missing this resort and will come back.

Room Tip: Bure Levu was very good, but only cold water in the shower.

This is a down to earth relaxed island where you can play all day and relax at night. The rooms whilst small was quiet comfortable and cool to sleep in. New pillows would be good. The staff are what make this place everyone is extremely warm and friendly. We are going back next year for longer. It's like a family at Robinson Crusoe Island :) we miss it already.

We took the day trip to the island, It was a long day but definitely worth it.
The shows were amazing, the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and enthusiastic.
The weather was good and the water was a little murky there but definitely not brown, clear enough to see things while snorkelling on the reef
Would like to experience staying there for the night next time we visit Fiji
