“First timer...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2014

Very neat and clean spot. Not too overwhelmed by the simple menu. Burnt ends, all chopped and combined were not exactly what I was expecting, but plenty of meat… Spicy sauce is really hot, the mild is delicious. I gotta come back for the beans and the horseradish cole slaw. Turkey and ham sandwiches looked great. Friendly staff!

“Best Pecan Pie!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

The food is very good and at good prices. The pecan pie is absolutely wonderful. We have eaten at Hu-Hot next door, then gone here for the pie.

“Dry, Dry, DRY.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2013

The brisket was dang near inedible, and the hot links were over cooked, almost microwave like. The only good thing was the baked beans and the service, otherwise, I will never come back here for BBQ again, I'd rather cook a hamburger at home.

Food was very good. Ribs very tasty and tender with sauce on the side was delicious. Also ice cold beer priced good.

“Best Place in Columbia for BBQ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2013

We really enjoyed our lunch here. The Sloppy Bucks sandwich (like a Sloppy Joe) was packed with meat. Two of us had pulled pork sandwiches and they were excellent. The fries are as good or better than any place in town and were served nice and hot. The cole slaw was good, but not for everybody. The baked beans were excellent with small bits of pork mixed in. We all ordered the sandwich and 2 sides and were all full after eating. A unique thing here is that they have a couple of their own BBQ sauces, but always have around 8 different competing sauces for you to try if you want to. They are kept on a shelf near the kitchen and you just walk up and help yourself. There are lots of beer selections but this is not really a drinking establishment where you would hang out just to drink. It's really more of just an excellent BBQ place. Don't let the plain tables throw you off - relax and enjoy the food whether you're with family or friends.
