We darted in here for lunch on a whim, and were taken by the interesting setting with semi-revealed brick walls and general feel of antiquity. Service was relaxed but friendly and attentive. We had a beer, served up in a nicely frosted glass, and shared a fresh summer squash soup, which was bright and subtly spicy with a lingering heat on the finish, and a pasta with mushrooms and other goodies, which was rich and luscious.
Charming setting, warm and helpful server, and some really good food, without getting all upscale and snooty about it. We'll be back.
