“View to Remember”

Very unusual and intriguing collection that should definitely be seen. Picasso paintings on ceramic plates were seen only in the Madrid. The gallery is relatively small but the area is well lit and respected profession. The exhibited paintings and sculptures can not be seen in the Picasso Museum in Malaga.

“Another side to Picasso”
Reviewed February 27, 2014 via mobile

The examples of pottery on display here show Picasso's love of the bullfight in a different way, but also his love of shape and his skill as a potter. An extra to the Malaga Picasso museums.

“Cute Art Collection”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

CAC Mijas is a small but interesting collection. Finding the gallery is a bit of a challenge as there are no signs. There is a charge of 3 euros for entry but the staff are helpful. The gallery consists of two rooms. On the ground floor is a a fascinating collection of about 40 Picasso ceramics but the collection of pictures on the first floor is a bit disappointing with only two by Dali and one by Miro and others. It is worth a visit as part of your day. The shop has a few items for sale but this is not the Tate.

“A little disappointing”
Reviewed January 7, 2014 via mobile

There has been quite a bit of hype about the new museum and for me it wasn't quite met. The gallery is lovely and the lower floor ceramics is a very important collection. It is the upstairs that disappoints a little. There is nothing to bring the works to life such as videos or basic contextual info about the artist. A bit of an opportunity missed but for 3 euros it isn't a bad way to spend half an hour
