We had a lovely stay everything was just wonderful, this little town house is a little gem everything you could possible want.
The village is amazing so beautiful and lovely little places to eat and drink
I would highly recommend this to any of my friends without hesitation.
Gordon and Andrea are perfect host on hand if needed and cater for all your needs
We'll visit again very soon.
Casita Carmela is beautiful. We stayed for 7 nights in late September. Inside is clean, tastefully decorated and everything you could wish for is provided. Outside is fabulous, the terrace area has different areas for sitting & lounging, either in or out of the sun and of course the lovely hot tub too, all with a view to die for. The owners Gordon & Adrienne are so friendly and will do everything to ensure you have a wonderful stay, and Lynne next door is a world of local knowledge & friendliness. Mijas itself is a joy, winding streets of shops & eateries for which the Casita is superbly located, close to everything but tucked away & private.
We've had a marvelous time here, so relaxed we forgot to fill the visitors book in!
Over the years we have stayed in a lot of villas and apartments in Spain and France and can honestly say that this was the best equipped and nicest furnished place we've ever stayed in. The weather was great, the pueblo (village) is very, very nice, all in all, a great place to stay.
As everyone else has said there are lots of places to eat, the one we enjoyed most in Mijas was the one that backs onto the house - now back in the UK it's name escapes me but go up the little lane, turn left then take the next left, the Tapas restaurant is on the left. It gives the impression it's a 'local' bar but go inside and ask for the restaurant and I think you will be pleasantly surprised. A note of caution though - the dishes marked 'Racion' are at least double the size we would expect at home - you have been warned!

A really lovely property for a couple. Cute, well equipped and very pleasureable in every way.
The highlight is the view, stunning. The other highlights are the hot tub in which we spent many an hour admiring the view, the bed which is oh so comfortable.
The property is far enough out of the village to avoid most of the tourists and yet a few minutes walk from everywhere, so location is just idea.
Communication with Gordon and Adrienne was easy and responsive.
All in all, if you want to stay in the pueblo, this is a great choice.
This is a fabulous home with stunning views over the coast.
A real sun trap for most of the day with a hot tub to cool down with in the summer, or to warm and ease tired muscles with in the winter which we needed. Close enough to the village to walk in easily but far enough out to be a relaxed holiday. A great position for hill walking when we wanted to have a more challenging walk in the forests.
Gordon and Adrianne were great hosts, meeting us on arrival, showing us how everything worked and had even put up a Christmas tree for us!
We will be going back to experience different seasons as it felt like home.
Lots to do in the town itself, bus/ train are cheap and easy to use to explore the area.
