My husband and I were in St. Louis for two nights traveling with our 10 year old granddaughter. Our plane arrived in the evening and we needed dinner close to where we were staying in Clayton. I found J. Buck's on the Trip Advisor site and was disappointed to see the bad reviews. However, we decided to go anyway because we had lived in St. Louis in the '70's and had loved Jack Buck!
We were so glad we did go. This was a Friday evening and we were seated immediately in the beautiful dining room.
Our granddaughter had her first toasted ravioli and loved them. Also, the pretzel bread was a delightful surprise which we all gobbled up. Our salads were delicious and so were our entrees. I do not understand why the other reviews were so negative. Maybe they have made some changes. The "Joe's Menu" is an addition that emphasizes fresh, healthy, seasonal foods. My husband had the Joe's salad which he declared wonderful.
