Stopped in for dinner and was impressed by this place located on a working farm with the farm ingredients on the menu. Had a wonderful flatbread appetizer that was large enough to make a meal out of. Also had the farm salad and pizza. The pizza should have been cooked a little more at a higher temperature, but we were being very picky. I found the meal to be a very good value - but am used to prices in large cities. The restaurant itself is beautifully done and the outdoor space is very nice. I wish I could have been there when all of the wisteria was in bloom. We had vey good service and our waitress checked in on us often. Overall a very positive dining experience and we would stop back if we ate back in the area.

Most people probably don't stay too long when traveling through Pike County, Missouri. Day-trippers from St. Louis enjoy the scenic drive up Hwy. 79 along the Mississippi River, passing through Clarksville, Louisiana and up into Hannibal, then probably turn back and head home.
But if you're staying in the area for an afternoon or evening, stopping at the Station in Clarksville can be a rewarding experience.
Local, organic food grown on the premise graces many of the menu items, and an extensive wine list compliments many of the unique and tasty selections. For ambiance, take in the sounds of some of the talented musicians who come up from St. Louis on weekends. After dinner, take a glass of your favorite Port and grab an Adirondack chair next to the huge outdoor fire pit and take in the clean country air and star-lit sky while the Missouri bluffs stare back down at you.
While it was disappointing to see some of the more negative reviews, I've been to the Station no fewer than 5 times in the last two years and found each experience to be a positive one. Give it a try.

This restaurant looks pretty but that is the only good quality. We didn't find the management friendly (arrogant). The prices are way out of line for the area. To take a family there would definitely be a strain on the budget. Maybe the management wants to cater to the "upper crust" but they are too far from the city for that. At any price, the food was not good. There has been problems with disgruntled staff and it shows.

I have removed an earlier review which stated that we had three excellent meals in two days at the Clarksville Station Restaurant. That was when Tim Grandinetti was the chef. We recently celebrated our 50th anniversary at the restaurant and inn. The inn was still very nice, but the restaurant was terrible. Small portions. Fish with seaweed. Smoked mashed potatoes. Blah!!
Skip it unless things have changed.

This was a horrible meal that cost over $100 for the four of us -- for brunch! Waffles were served cold, butter was so hard it tore the cold waffles, the breakfast potatoes were cold and hard as marbles. We had to ask for water, silverware, condiments, a napkin, etc. Some of these had to be requested TWICE. Evidently the waitress forgot what we needed while she stood at the side of the room laughing and talking with her co-worker. We have eaten at the Clarksville Station before and had hit or miss experiences before, but this was the worst ever. We will never be back, which is sad due to having relative that live in the area and limited choices to dine out. In the future, I would rather take my parents to the closest Dairy Queen before I step into this place again!!
