“The dim sum is pretty darned good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2014

So Emperor's Palace is not exactly your typical Chinese buffet. First off, it's huge. Second, while it has its share of beef with broccoli-type standard Americanized Chinese food, it also has a section of pretty great comparatively authentic Chinese food. Specifically, it has a bunch of dumplings and cakes I guess you'd call dim sum. Third, it often has entertainment.

But about the food: In the section by the dim sum is often a sweet red bean soup, sometime congee, and every so often chicken feet! Even more exotic dishes tend to appear around the time of Chinese New Year/Spring festival.

There are also lots of fairly exotic salads, drinks (boba tea, etc.) and soups.

But if you're not a lover of exotic foods, never fear. Most of the buffet is dedicated to wonderful American/Chinese and plain old American tasty food. (In fact, you should really try the cheese sticks!)

In short, my family loves coming here. There are definitely good and plentiful choices for all.

“Not the best Asian buffet...”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2014

We met some friends there for lunch on a Friday. The place looked a little 'run down' inside...dark and stark. The food stations are along the wall and are marked as to their offering. Other reviewers have given a pretty good rundown on the selection. My wife and I were somewhat underwhelmed with the food. Other Asian buffets we've been to (one in St. Charles, for example) had better layouts. Many of the things that should have been hot were not when we got them to the table. There was some kind of entertainment on a stage, but we were seated with our backs facing that direction, so I don't know what it was. The best item of the meal was the lemon cake. With all the selections for dining in Chesterfield Valley, I don't think we'll be back to this one.

“Great Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2014

Big sitting area, lots of different types of food to choose from. and a nice little bar. We went once on a wednesday and each of us (adults over 21) received a free house beer. Not too shabby

“Not dinner and a show but Lunch and a show”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2014

Emperor's Palace gets a Very Good rating against other Chinese buffets, I am not rating it against other types of restaurants. With that said the buffet for lunch had lots of choices. The sushi is average for MO and the "Dim Sum" area has a good bunch of choices including siopao. The Chinese selection is varied and all items I had were very good. They even have an American section with chicken nuggets, fried chicken, fries, and ravs for those who don't enjoy the Asian selections. The Mongolian BBQ looked good but like most places at lunch it is hard to get service at the BBQ station. Overall it was very good and the price was $10 for lunch which is not too bad. I almost forgot the most interesting part....they had live music, dancing, and acrobatics. This was lunch. It was not a wonderful show but it was an added bonus. I will visit here again.

“Impressive buffet but slightly pricey”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2014

This is not a typical buffet...it has many, many options and prepare your way options. My family enjoys trying new foods and the entertainment. We have only been during the dinner hour on weekends, when they have live entertainment. It is slightly pricey for a buffet, even with the many options.
