So Emperor's Palace is not exactly your typical Chinese buffet. First off, it's huge. Second, while it has its share of beef with broccoli-type standard Americanized Chinese food, it also has a section of pretty great comparatively authentic Chinese food. Specifically, it has a bunch of dumplings and cakes I guess you'd call dim sum. Third, it often has entertainment.
But about the food: In the section by the dim sum is often a sweet red bean soup, sometime congee, and every so often chicken feet! Even more exotic dishes tend to appear around the time of Chinese New Year/Spring festival.
There are also lots of fairly exotic salads, drinks (boba tea, etc.) and soups.
But if you're not a lover of exotic foods, never fear. Most of the buffet is dedicated to wonderful American/Chinese and plain old American tasty food. (In fact, you should really try the cheese sticks!)
In short, my family loves coming here. There are definitely good and plentiful choices for all.
