“Great Hotel”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

I loved staying at the Drury Plaza. Spent one night here. It was a beautiful newer hotel (5 yrs old or so). I enjoyed the managers reception in the evening and the free breakfast was far better than those of most hotel chains. Had dinner that night in the attached Stoney River Steakhouse which was terrific.

The room was spacious with all the usual amenities. The beds were comfortable. Love the free extras that the Drury provides. Never got to use the pool or try the gym though they do have both.

There is also a mall with an AMC theater other stores and dining options right behind the hotel. But I highly recomend trying the attached Stoney River Steak House it is a great choice in the area.

We've pretty much stayed in at least one of every level of hotel, and this is by far out favorite. Everyone is pleasant without being overbearing or in the way. The rooms are always immaculately clean. If you need something, they'll bring it up quickly. There's no ridiculously overpriced mini bar, but there is a refrigerator you can stick your own stuff in. We always stay in the king whirlpool suite, and its always awesome. You walk into the living area, the bath is in the hall, and the bedroom is past that. The bathroom is huge and seriously wonderful. Giant jetted tub that can easily fit two people (not the tacky fiberglass kind you usually see stuck in the corner of a motel 6 bedroom) and a separate glass shower that's really quite large. The big industrial soap dispense looks a bit silly, but I get the idea. The toilet is off in its own little water closet type area, complete with a phone (I need to Google why that's a thing) and...Yeah. overall my absolute favorite place. Location is great, lot of awesome food places in the area...And personally, I've never heard so much as a peep of noise and we always travel on weekends. If that's a concern, I do believe most multi level hotels have a "quiet floor" and this should be no different. We don't ever do the "kickback" thing but apparently people think that's the coolest thing since sliced bread, so there's that.

We had never stayed at a Drury before, had old friends living in this suburb of St. Louis. We were pleased with the level of room amenities - soaps, towels, coffeemaker, comfort of the bed, sun-blocking, noise-cancelling drapes. The pool and spa looked clean. This is a newer Drury, so everything is fresh. We felt we paid a reasonable price for a suite with a King and a pullout couch We are an older couple and were on a high floor away from the family crowds. Highway/city accessibility is great. Best feature was the buffet breakfast and early evening buffet meal as part of the room price. We're not big eaters, and this allowed us two meals at the hotel without having to search out a restaurant. If I had youngsters in tow, this would have been ideal! There is a shopping center with several chain restaurants with bar service behind this hotel. Heard from a couple of folks with dogs that they were recommended to come to this place from other hotels where the dog thing just wasn't working out. Don't know if there are size restrictions on dogs. The check-in/check out was reasonably speedy, considering the crowd staying there. There were a couple of sizable wedding parties staying there our weekend. Except for the light-flashing fire monitor near the bed, which made it hard to sleep, the Drury hotel met all our expectations of a mid-range hotel. If you find downtown and Clayton booked out on your next stay in St. Louis, this hotel is a nice option.

Room Tip: Without children, ask for a high, quiet floor.

We stayed four nights during the World Series. Everything about the stay was great. the front.desk check in and services were very accommodating. The room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel itself is located close to many attractions and restaurants Breakfast and evening snacks and drinks are icing on the cake. .

This was our first time staying at a Drury. We wanted a hotel that was easy access to everything, City and West County, and this was a great choice (64/40 wasn't too busy this trip!). The rooms were very clean. The only thing I would change is they need updated shower heads and I'm not a big fan of industrial size soap dispensers on the shower wall. However, everything else was nice & neat. The breakfast had a lot of selection and we enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

We were looking for a nice hotel that wasn't too far from the ballpark. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. We were not there for the evening snacks, but it looked like you could make a meal out of it. We did get the breakfast in the morning and it was very good. Lots to choose from. The only complaint I had was the deadbolt lock would not work in our room and the phone said it had a message on it but when I called down to the front desk they said there was no message. She tried to turn the red message light off but was unsuccessful. Had to put a towel over the light so we could sleep.

We were looking for a quick get-a-way in this area and are very glad we chose this hotel. The hotel and our room were clean and the employees went out of there way to be friendly. The evening snacks and drinks were excellent. There was a wide assortment of food items as well as a variety of drinks that are included in the price of your stay. There was plenty of room for sitting and relaxing and just winding down. Our room was quiet and very comfortable. We prefer individual packets of toiletries instead of the filled compartments that were on the wall of the shower with soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The parking garage was very dark with low levels of lighting throughout but had no problems because we had a parking space close to the entrance. The morning breakfast was typical of Drury Inns but noticed that they seemed tastier than some.
