There were no precooked canned food served here. You can't just go to the next town to find the clone of this place on the side of the highway. It is its own person so to speak, unique and good.
You can go a lot of Italian places and not get the quality of food, the amount of flavor or the large portions served at this establishment. And for those of us who watch the price we pay for eating out, I can't name a better value. I recommend you give Babbo's a try at least once.
The decor is both old-world and contemporary. The menu is in chalk on the wall. You also get a one sided laminated menu. There is not a big variety of items, but what you order will be well prepared and very flavorful. It's not big city fancy but it is big city good without being big city expensive.
Of the ten or so times my wife and I have eaten there, I have only had one night that I felt that the service was poor. But not once were we disappointed with the food.
