“Fun informative cave trip”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

This is a smaller cave system but was a very fun trip for our family of about 10 visitors. This tour is entirely on foot to the back of the tour area with great information about the bats and missouris cave systems , including getting to see many frogs which are also cave dwellers. Angel showers is very neat with literally thousands of gallons of water pouring from a formation thru the caves roof and then mysteriously disappearing into a bowl shaped formation in the cave floor. It is still unknown where the water comes from as well as where the water goes. There is a nominal fee for the guided tour and was definately worth it. Very well ran state park attraction.

“The waterfall in this cave alone is worth the price of admission.”
Reviewed June 24, 2012

We have been to many many caves on our vacations, but we have never seen a formation like the Angel Showers in Ozark Cavern. Water falls from the ceiling in a sort of shower-head way, and it lands on a depression that resembles a bathtub. Words can't describe how cool it was. The cave is in a very natural state, not lit artificially at all. The tour is done using hand held lanterns which gives it a very authentic feel. There is little to no incline, so the walk is effortless. But the highlight of the tour was the Angel Showers. It's a must see if you enjoy natural science!

“Informative & Most Interesting State Park Attraction”
Reviewed August 5, 2011

If your idea of something unusal and different to do includes visiting a cave, you should definitely include Ozark Caverns on your list.

The reception and interpretive display area is attractive, well thought out, and very informative. Rest rooms are immaculate.

Cave tours are given by highly trained visitor guides who are themselves avid cave hobbyists. They genuinely enjoy getting questions and willingly share their knowledge. Whether your interest is the history of the region, karst topography, or the native peoples who lived here centuries ago, the visitor guides know the answers. Their enthusiasm for the subject is one of the principal attractions to Ozark Caverns.

Schedules vary so checking their web site is an absolute necessity.

Ozark Caverns is part of the Missouri park system and maintenance is supported by a special tax; one of the few special taxes which has consistently delivered what it promises.
