Someone tried to breakin to our car overnight & left a Huge Hole in the door below the lock. When we reported it to the Hotel they said they had security cameras & would get back with us..which they never did. She informed us that every few weeks this happens. Can they not hire security? Don't be the next victim!

Have stayed here many times. The hotel is nice enough, however, the wi-fi signal in the rooms really sucks. Restaurant menu is somewhat limited but the food is really good. Wish they had better happy hour offerings.

Based on the reviews I read(from another site) on the Best Western St Louis 4 couples stayed there. We took 2 cars. When we returned both cars had been broken into and they were in different areas. I guess this happens alot in this area and this needs to be posted.

This is possibly the worst place I've ever stayed. The room itself was passable, as far as a place to sleep. It wasn't clean. It wasn't horribly dirty. The beds were about as comfortable as old beds are. The bathroom was dirty. No soap or shampoo.

The rooms were not the issue... well, except maybe the fact that the parking garage had a spiral ramp that was too small for any normal car, and to get from my hotel room (or the parking garage for that matter), I either had to walk around the entire building complex (which is actually four or five buildings) or walk across this courtyard, through the outdoor pool (opening and closing the gate each time) and into a maze of corridors.

Now for the convention center problems...
I attended someone's convention here, and I feel they should have known about the convention center problems beforehand. I mean, all you had to do was SEE the space to know it would be an issue with 500 people in it. Even so, the hotel advertises itself as a "Conference Center" when it is clearly a strange conglomeration of several buildings with a few rooms bigger than normal hotel rooms and one ballroom. The convention of 500 used all of the hotel's "conference" space, which consisted of a ballroom (I saw signs for an elusive second ballroom but never saw the room, just a set of locked metal doors), a long room that could be divided into three quite small rooms, and a series of converted office rooms in another building altogether.
To put this into context, imagine going to a convention of mostly teenagers where your main events happen in a ballroom. Across the narrow hallway from that is the dealers' room, artists' alley, and gaming room. Then you have to go down a narrow staircase (the only way in and out of this small hallway), down a short hallway, across the lobby (where the superstitious Indian staff is freaking out because *SURPRISE* there are people in costume), down another long (non-air-conditioned) corridor, up an elevator (the only way in and out of THAT section), and into another hallway where there is a panel room, a viewing room, and con ops. Registration was, for some reason, also in this upstairs hallway, making long lines that stuffed all of the little space there was.
The hotel seemed to have been made up of a smaller motel, a bank, an office building that housed an Indian restaurant and the "meeting rooms", and the newer hotel that formed the front of the complex and included the ballroom(s). It was a very strange setup.

The hotel treated the attendees very poorly. They tried to make arbitrary rules, including forbidding anyone in costume from being in the lobby (making it necessary to walk OUTSIDE to get to the other part of the convention and saying that only four people could sit at each table in the lunch room. Those of us who were adults felt quite disrespected, especially since we were paying customers of the hotel.

We plan never to return to the place. The staff put us off too much, and I'd have no reason to stay there anyway.

We stayed for two nights the first weekend of Oct 2009. My first impression of the guy (Ephriam) working the front desk wasn't that great, he seemed unhappy to be there and completely disinterested in doing anything to help me out. That impression was later confirmed when my fiance went to the front desk to ask for a remote for the TV. She was told by a guy with a big ring of keys on his belt they were locked up already and she couldn't get one till the morning. Later the next day I went back and found out they were "locked up" in the top drawer of the front desk. Wow, thanks for the effort there.
I will say however that the lady who checked me out (Quinta) was extremely pleasant.
Won't be staying here again.

Don't stay at this Best Western unless you really are looking for somewhere to stay in a pinch close to the airport. Musty rooms, no elevator, in need of remodeling. They put us next to the exit/entrace door and we heard the door slam all night. When we complained in the morning the staff acknowledge the room they put us in and that was it. We should of walked right back downstairs and ask for another room.
