At last count, my husband and I have eaten at over 100 Indian restaurants around the world. India Palace is easily in the top 5. We're so lucky to have this restaurant in easy drive. The location is a bit strange (11th floor of a run down hotel) and with road changes not so easy to get there. But the food is great. Very few London "Indians" give this one a run-for-the-money. Lots of vegetarian (as might be expected). Buffets are good - larger on Sunday with some South Indian additions.

Finally checked out this place after hearing so much about the so-called "great Indian restaurant at the top of an airport motel." The concept sounded intriguing. The food, however, was pretty pedestrian...not much depth of flavor compared with many other Indian restaurants I've visited from the Bay Area to Kansas City to D.C. to Atlanta...The location is indeed odd. You have to wind your way around Natural Bridge Road and circle back behind Lindbergh to the Airport Plaza Inn -- former Best Western. After parking in sketch lot and taking what seems at first like a freight elevator, your arrive on the 11th Floor to a space that actually is very well-appointed. The decor looked more like a setting for a wedding reception...with several young men scurrying around in ties and vests. The view -- looking out over distant runways at Lambert Field -- is nice on a clear night/day...Service, though, was pretty dry....Again, not bad, just not extraordinary. We had the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Saag. Both were pretty bland, other than the Tikka Masala being way too salty. From what I hear, the lunch buffet is this place's real forte, so maybe I'll go back the next time I'm in STL around lunchtime. Otherwise this is one I would pass; I'm sure you'll find equally good or better Indian fare in University City or one of the West County suburbs.

Been here a few times both for lunch and dinner. I felt the buffet was alright (taste wise) with a limited spread compared to other Indian restaurants in the area. A la carte dishes are better. I esp. enjoyed the palak paneer, chicken tikka masala and dal makhani.

Love the India Palace. If you are new to Indian food try the lunch buffet. A good variety of foods with several being not to spicy. The buffet is reasonable priced. Dinner is a little more expensive, but the food is very good. Also the view is great.

This is the second time I have been to this restaraunt and again the food was fantastic. Highly recommend. We had the Paneer Tikka Masala and Navratan Korma. The nan was fresh, baked soft. Very good. The servers are pleasant and attentive even when busy. The table linen unfortunately was dirty but each table is covered with a clean paper cover so it was tolerable.
