“We greatly enjoyed our stay”

We had opportunity to stay at the Residence Inn in Branson while attending a competition. We had a group of eight and had two rooms. Both rooms had bedrooms separated from the living and kitchen areas, which was wonderful! The suite kitchens were nicely stocked with the necessary dishes and cookware, which was nice. Our 2-bedroom suite also had a full-size refrigerator and stove. The free breakfast varied a little each day, but had waffles (with (real) butter, syrup, strawberries in strawberry syrup and whipped cream, peanut butter and honey available as toppings), scrambled eggs, pastries, cereal, biscuits and gravy, a meat (sausage or ham), oatmeal (already made and with walnuts, brown sugar, and cinnamon available for toppings), either a medley of sausage, sweet peppers, and diced potatoes, or hashbrown patties, apples, and bananas. There was the usual coffee, juice, and milk, hot cocoa mix.
In the evenings, they had a little snacky sort of meal. The two evenings we went, they had hot dogs one day and nachos and frito pies the second.
The ladies who worked the kitchen area were fabulous, friendly, very helpful, and kind, regardless of whether the crowd was large or small.
In fact, all of the staff and housekeeping crew were wonderful.
We enjoyed the basketball court and swimming pool.
The free wifi went out due to a storm our next to last day, but the manager wasted no time in notifying as many people as he needed to come check things and work on them in order to get it back up and running.
I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is conveniently located near main attractions. The staff was friendly.Rooms need to be remodeled, although very clean. Room was spacious with separate room. Two tv sets. Kitchenette and sofa bed.
Breakfast included in price.

I detest third party reservation centers with their lack of disclosure of policies and fees and their no holds barred cancellation policies, so generally I will locate a hotel through them, but call the hotel directly to see if they will match. Marriott alledges a "look no further lowest price guarantee" when you call their reservation center. On a third party site, I found this room for $131; on the Marriott app, it was $159. I called to see if they would honor that price, but they told me I would have to book through hotel.com if I wanted that. Really? Also, they offer no government rate or AAA. Be aware that if you are traveling with pets, beware if their $100 non- refundable pet "deposit" which is really a fee. They claim that it's a sanitation charge to clean the room thoroughly so that guests who are allergic to dogs or cats won't break-out. However, the desk clerk was unable to explain the process for which I was shelling out $100 for a one- night stay. On their mobile app, it says they are pet friendly, but nothing at all is mentioned about the "deposit" until you arrive at the hotel, and then the clerk doesn't tell you it's non-refundable. You won't know thar until they give you a form to fill out which states this AFTER you give then your credit card. Plus, the mobile app states Marriott's cancellation policy is 24 hours in advance, so going someplace else with a reasonable per fee means forfeiting my $159. You are screwed either way. At least the room would be nice... NOT! It was jank all the way around. The parts that are easy to clean (sheets, duvet cover, tub, toilet, etc) were clean, but the carpet and furniture were stain and pretty worn. To top it off, a pre-teen baseball team were sprinting up and down the hall along with their lour talking coaches. I asked for the manager who was unavailable. They were supposed to have hI'm contact me, but I guess he can't be bothered.

Marriott does pride itself in offering the "look no further lowest price guarantee" and we apologize for not directing you in how to proceed with the rate discrepancy you found. Located on Marriott.com are forms and instructions on how to complete and submit a claim. The claim will be validated by Marriott and the guarantee will be processed. At Residence Inn Branson, we have taken note from your response in making sure our staff is knowledgable in all of our processes. We do offer government and AAA rates, unfortunately if the alottment has been booked they may not be available. We are pet friendly and listed on our website under Pet Policy, it states "pets allowed, non refundable sanitation fee: 100 USD: contact hotel for details". We do ask for each guest to read and sign a policy agreement at checkin. Thank you for bringing the mobile app verbiage to our attention. Your review is greatly appreciated and will allow us to become better customer service agents. On your next trip to Branson, please give us another opportunity to meet and exceed your expectations.

The entrance is not very inviting- a front desk and a huge refrigeration unit filled with drinks for sale. A desk with a computer in the hallway for guests to use. We were asked to sign a paper saying we would be responsible for any damage done to the room which makes me laugh as you will have a hard time finding anything in the room that did not have some damage!!! The furniture needed to be replaced!!!! The whole hotel needed to be redone as for as I am concerned! The hotel layout was poor. We were in the basement in the back of the hotel which was far from front desk. We had trouble closing window that was not completely closed when we arrived. The back entranced needed to be vaccumed badly. They had a great front desk clerk at night !! The ladies at breakfast were great,too!! Even as good as they were, it did not make up for a hotel that needed to be remodeled and work on cleaning issues!!1 We say never again will we stay here!!

We apologize for not meeting your expectations. We are thankful to be busy and with the high volume of guests, areas can become worn. Our lobby and layout are formats used in many Residence Inn's across the country. Your concerns are of great importance and have been noted, especially the heavy traffic areas, such as entrances. We are always grateful, to be reminded, to look at our surroundings as if we were the guest.
At check in, we do ask for every guest to read the policies we have in place and to sign in understanding and/or agreement. The policies include "Smoke Free", "Pet Fee" and "rollaway Bed Fee" and there are associated fees for usage and/or non compliancy.
We hope you give us another chance in the future to meet and exceed your needs.

My room was adjacent to the parking lot closest to the rear of the hotel. It was blissful. Some families came in for the weekend and it was a little noisy. The room was airy and well decorated, no unpleasant orders; non smoking room of course, and the bed was firm, with crisp clean sheets. Shower was clean but drained very slowly. Toilet in good working order. Hair dryer and storage for all my toiletries was plentiful. Kitchen clean and well stocked. Top quality refrigerator and microwave. Comfortable table, chairs and couch with plenty of room to spread out. Drapes blackened out the light and the sheer curtains provided ample light and privacy. I was very pleased. It came with breakfast that was average for this town, but I was quite pleased with the variety. Hot and cold cereals, bagels, muffins and toast; Waffles, biscuits and gravy,eggs and bacon, sausage and potatoes. For beverages; tea, coffee, juice and milk. A very nice spread and friendly staff to assist. I would go back to this hotel if I was in this area again. A very good value.

Room Tip: I had a corner suite. Only shared one wall.

We travel more than a lot and mostly stay at Marriott properties. Marriott messed up our reservations and had to put us in this Residence Inn. Our room was not that clean and smelled. We opened the windows to air it out and the basketball court and outdoor patio was just below us. The first night we were there guest were allowed to play on the court until 10:00. At 7:40am the next morning the bouncing woke us and we had to call the front desk. We left for the day and came back to a party below our windows where the guests were loud and lots of drinking...and more basketball until 10:00 when they were supposed to leave the area. Unfortunately, the party went on until 11:15 because the poor girl at the front desk came out and told then twice that they had to leave. They refused so she called the police! The only saving grace were the two wonderful women at the front desk at night and in the morning. I will never stay there again. This was one of our worst experiences staying at a Residence Inn.

Thank you for choosing to stay at Marriott properties and being a Marriott reward member. We can truly understand the frustration in discovering your reservation was not what you expected. Each property is unique within the Marriott family, including our Residence Inn. Being in a leisure destination we do have many families and groups that stay with us. Our outdoor courtyard is used by many as a place to gather, relax and visit. We do have it posted for basketballs to not be issued until 10am and they are to be returned by 10pm. We do try to enforce those rules to ensure a restful night for those rooms near the court. Some guests come prepared to enjoy the court, with their own basketballs, and it becomes necessary for us to inform them of the time restrictions. Sometimes events happen and there is no preperation for them, so we appreciate your comments on where we can improve and what we did well. Maybe under different circumstances, you will give us another opportunity to meet your needs.

We spent 2 nights at the Residence Inn. We were please with our room, it was the perfect size for my husband and I.I do agree that maybe it could stand an updating, but it wasn't so bad that I considered it dirty or uncomfortable. The hotel was located in a convient location for driving, not walking, but that was fine for us. We will defineately stay there again.
