“Average Stay and Resort.”
Reviewed July 14, 2012

We rented two connecting cabins for a family vacation in md July. We had 5 families with kids and had 4 bedrooms and 1 loft. The resort was located in the middle of the strip next to the outlet malls, restaurants, activities. The cabins are nice but are pourley layed out. The cabins are fairly modern but were not very clean. The biggest issue we had was all of the bathrooms were located in the bedrooms. If you had to use the bathroom you had to go into someone else's room. So the couple sleeping in the loft did not have a bathroom to use in the middle of the night without walking through someone's bedroom. The pool was clean but was very small and probably could accommodate 20 people comfortably. For the amount of cabins at the resort two cabins could crowd the pool. The other issue was a barbecue pit that you would find at a park that was suppose to be used by 4-5 cabins. Overall the resort was average not Great and not Bad.

We spent a week in a three bedroom condo. It was very nice, had a well stocked kitchen and was very clean. We enjoyed it a great deal, the pool was nice but be aware that some of the rooms are right on the street. Our bedroom window was just feet from the street and morning traffic starts very early. One morning we had construction and multiple cement trucks across the street at dawn. While some of the condos are better located the chance of being near the street is about 50-50. We've stayed in Branson many times and, while nice, I think we will stay elsewhere next time.

We took our family vacation in Branson, and since there were seven of us, we wanted a place to spread out rather than cramming into a couple hotel rooms. We got a 3 bedroom condo at Thousand Hills Resort and it blew us away. Not only did it have 3 bedrooms, but also 3 bathrooms which made it tremendously easy to get ready each morning and to clean up each day after having fun around town. The best surprise was the sun room which could be accessed from the living room or the master bedroom. We took our parents, who are early risers, so they could sit in the sun room, enjoy some coffee and watch morning TV without disturbing the rest of us who were sleeping a little later. (after all it was a vacation) Thousand Hills is in a great location and very convenient to all of the major attractions including Silver Dollar City, White Water, Branson Landing, and Sight and Sound Theater. High recommendation to anyone planning a trip there.

Room Tip: Different condos have different floor plans, so request one that best suits your needs. Some are al...

This was our second stay at Thousand Hills with our son and daughter-in-law. This time we stayed at the "Foothills" which was extremely nice. Both bedrooms had king beds, and we were able to make the bathroom for the second bedroom private by closing the hall door. We could see the pool from the patio. The unit was clean, and a lot of supplies are provided which makes packing for the trip easier. This year we had our 1 year old granddaughter with us, and she enjoyed having so much room to run around. Thousand Hills is great for two families (or more).

Room Tip: If you enjoy the pool, the Foohills is great.

We stayed in a two-bedroom cabin with loft over Memorial Day weekend in order to qualify for the "Platinum package" which included certain show tickets. Upon walking in, all we could manage to say was, "Wow". It was awesome! We had a beautifully decorated cabin, complete with a stone fireplace on a propane timer. One bathroom had a jacuzzi tub. Another had dual shower heads, but one did not work at all. It was spotless. The cabin we received had log beds and furniture, but from my understanding, not all are this way. There was a full kitchen including a dishwasher and washer and dryer! And an enclosed porch. There were plenty of fluffy towels and the soap scent reminded us of lilies of the valley. One thing we did not like was the personalized plaque on the exterior exclaiming, "The Smiths, Robert and Jan, Established 2007". This was a buzz-killer. Also, someone parked in the spot right outside our door. May I suggest assigned parking? Also, although it does not indicate on their website, many of a cabins are duplexes, not individual cabins. It could've been quieter if our neighbor hadn't brought their dog. Also, on their website, the platinum package does not indicate you will only receive ONE ticket to certain shows. Most people do not travel to Branson alone, so of course we bought additional tickets. Overall, this was a wonderful place and you'll pay for it. But it is so nice we'd return.

Room Tip: They have an outdoor pool, which you can ask to be near.

We stayed in the 1 Bedroom Condo and it had a full kitchen, dinning room, and living room. It also had a beautiful view of the golf course. If we travel back to Branson we would stay here again without a doubt.

Room Tip: 1 bedroom suite easily fits 4 adults

We have stayed at this resort numerous times and have always enjoyed it until our last stay where we ran into an over zealous condo manager who yelled at our family in the pool and then threatened the life of one of our group. After contacting customer service their only response was that we should file charges with the police and there was nothing they would do for us at all in the way of compensation. Definitely will never be returning to this resort or possibly Branson for that matter.
